7 Years Later // Future!AU
They’d been married 7 years.
7 long, wonderful years.
Well, their relationship wasn’t always perfect. Of course they had their fair share of fights but didn’t every couple? They always made up though. That was a rule for them, to never go to bed angry. No matter how long they had to stay awake, they talked out whatever problem they were having.
A lot of things had changed since they first got engaged. Ann still had the same job but was traveling less now in order to stay closer to home. Scarlett had gotten her GED and was still in college, working towards getting her masters degree to become a mythology professor, which was not at all what she saw herself becoming when she was younger, but now she was excited for it.
And then there was Greg.
Greg was definitely not planned, but both Antoinette and Scarlett called him their little miracle. Being both women, having a child of their own wasn’t exactly the easiest task, and Scarlett wasn’t about to deny her fear of being a mother, especially considering what she was. Yet, as it had happened a few times in their relationship, Ann was once again turned into a man. And, as they did have sex during the few days she was like that, Scarlett ended up pregnant.
They were both happy and petrified.
Now, five years later, Greg, named after Antoinette’s father of course, was the most important thing to them both.
Scarlett was sitting at the kitchen table, books open in front of her as she worked on her homework, with Antoinette sitting across from her, clicking away on her laptop doing something for work. From the other room, there was a crash, then a yelp from Tank, who came running into the room and hid under Antoinette’s chair.
“Mommy! Mama!” Greg’s voice sounded, referring to both of them.
Antoinette was Mommy and Scarlett was Mama.
Scarlett looked up and glanced at Ann before turning her attention to the door way where, sure enough, Greg came bolting into the room. He stopped in front of the table and pouted at them both. “Make Tank stay still,” he demanded.
Scarlett arched an eyebrow. “Why do you want him to stay still, sweetheart?”
Greg climbed up onto a nearby chair. “I wanna twy and do dat ting you do, Mama, and waise him in da air.”
Just like her, Greg was part witch. He didn’t appear to have gotten any traits from her demon half, something both Scarlett and Ann were very grateful for, but Scarlett was worried about raising a son with magical powers. She was worried she’d be so bad at teaching him about magic that he would turn evil.
However, even though he was still so young, he seemed to be dealing with it just fine.
Scarlett’s eyebrows rose and she bit her lip, glancing at Antoinette again as she bit her lip.
