Day 7: Film you’ve seen the most times

Day 7: Film you’ve seen the most times

Day 5: Favorite weapon

The whole Fellowship of the Ring suite. If that doesn’t count then Concerning Hobbits. Both are two of the most stunning pieces of instrumental music I have ever heard.
Day 4: Best meal

Day 1 Favorite hobbit - Merry & Pippin ♥ can’t decide ;))
30 Days of Lord of the Rings - Day 17
A scene that makes you cringe (disgust, fear, cheesiness, whatever):
I’m doing them all!
Disgust:
When Denethor orders Faramir to go back to Osgiliath, even though he rides to his death. As he leaves, he says “If I return, father, think better of me.” Denethor responds, “That will depend on the manner of your return.” Earlier in the same conversation, Faramir asks if Denethor wishes he had died instead of Boromir, to which he says yes, I wish that. UGH. Absolute and complete disgust. How Denethor raised 2 amazing sons is beyond me because he’s a complete jack ass.
Fear:
I wouldn’t say there was a part that “scared” me, but I guess the closest thing would be when the Nazgul are attacking Faramir and his men at Osgiliath. So much death. They stood so little chance against such forces. Sadness.
Cheesiness:
Okay, don’t get me wrong, I like Elijah Wood. That being said, some of his acting is just…. meh. For instance, when he is almost a wraith after being stabbed at Weathertop. The acting was just a bit too much for me. The gasping/squealing. Then there’s when he gets stuck by Shelob. I can hardly bear to watch it because his face is just so….. stupid, to put in bluntly.
30 Days of Lord of the Rings - Day 16
The ugliest orc or uruk:
Once again, I’m providing 2 answers:
1) Gothmog - He is technically the “ugliest” in my opinion. However, I felt like they went a little too far with his appearance. His face looks like a sponge for crying out loud. I realize they were trying to make him memorable, but this was just too much.
2) Lurtz - this for me was about as close as it came to how I pictured an Uruk from the books. He doesn’t look like some little bat like monster like the orcs did. He looks like fellow race. Just uglier. LOL. I still hate him for killing Boromir though.
30 Days of Lord of the Rings - Day 15
The spiffiest dresser:
I would have to say Legolas, mostly because he’s always so clean while the rest and grungy. LOL.
30 Days of Lord of the Rings - Day 8
Best use of magic or supernatural gifts:
When Gandalf removes Saruman from Theoden. I usually add extra notes, but I don’t know what else to say!!!!! LOL
30 Days of Lord of the Rings - Day 7
Favorite movie of the series:
They are really 3 parts of a whole, so it’s hard to “like” one more than another, but if I had to choose… I guess The Two Towers. This, in my opinion is were you really get to know Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli, and their bond grows stronger. I also like that there is a little more comedy introduced in this film. Let’s not forget, in this movie, Theoden and the Rohirrim make their first appearance (with Rohan being my realm of choice, I suppose I’m a sucker for it). I very much enjoy the Battle of Helm’s Deep, which brings this wonderful movie to a close. Oh, and the introduction (and sadly, death) of Haldir. :( He is one of my favorite characters.:)
30 Days of Lord of the Rings - Day 6
Favorite song (soundtrack or performed on screen):
I’ll do both :) Disclaimer: Allow me to say that I love the ENTIRE soundtrack to Lord of the Rings. It’s amazing and epic and makes me happy. That being said, here are my answers (although I hate to claim a favorite when I love them all)
Favorite from soundtrack:
The Lighting of the Beacons by Howard Shore Maybe it’s the amazing cinematography in the movie, but this song has such…. magnificence. It’s so grand and enthralling. Every time I hear it, I picture the beautiful scenery. It’s just a beautiful piece.
Performed on Screen:
All Shall Fade (aka Edge of Night) by Billy Boyd (Pippin)
Oh and I can’t forget May It Be by Enya. I love the Elvish lyrics. Ah.
