في مجتمعنا الذكوري، يترتّب على أي امرأة، أن تبذل جهداً مضاعفاً، فقط لكي تكون نفسها، وتتحدّى التنميطات السائدة. فإن كانت جميلة، فهي حكماً سطحيّة. وإن كانت بدينة، فهي حكماً شديدة الغباء، ومتبلّدة الذهن. وإن كانت تحبّ ارتداء التنانير القصيرة، فهي على الأغلب رخيصة. ولن تكون ذكيّة وصعبة المنال إلّا إذا كانت بشعة! حبّذا لو يدلّني أحدٌ على ذاك الذي قام بتقسيم النساء إلى فئات وأنماط، وقرر مَن منهن تكون البشعة، ومن منهن تكون الغبيّة، ومَن منهن تكون الرخيصة والعاهرة. إن التقيته، سأخبره أنّه أكبر بهيم عرفته في حياتي.
