Akashi honestly didn’t expect to meet anyone whom he had formerly known due to basketball that late friday evening, but he could only gaze at Imayoshi Shoichi whom had placed himself beside him, apparently also there to enjoy a few drinks.
He didn’t play basketball anymore. Every since he graduated from Rakuzan he hadn’t. Suddenly, his father fell ill and was put in the hospital, leaving him with all the responsibility that he had grown up to take over dropped onto his shoulder as suddenly as a lightning strike. He wasn’t even done with his education, but someone needed to take care of business, and he didn’t trust anyone to do it but himself – his father had requested for it as well, saying that he should be able to handle both taking care of the business and his studies, which was to be suspected. It was all his father cared about even when he was in such a condition.
Yet, meeting Imayoshi like this brought and off feeling of nostalgia, so why not strike conversation now that they had the time for it? Some fridays and weekends Akashi would have some spare time to spend, and usually he would use it to get his mind on something - something that wasn’t hard considering his position. It was only to keep himself sane, really.
"Imayoshi Shoichi. I didn’t expect meeting you here. I assume you are in college now?" the other male had left for college in Akashi’s first year, so he hadn’t seen him in any further matches that Rakuzan had had against Touou, that did not mean that he had forgotten whom he was, though.
