You know...

I have a simple strategy for dealing with all the Swan Queen and Rizzoli & Isles fuckery going on right now.

I just remind myself that the new season of Faking It starts next week, and we’ve got a new season of Lost Girl on the way. And then I go read some fanfic, or browse FemShep/Liara art.

Part 2 of 3.

Jane closed her eyes and took in a deep cleansing breath. “While we wait…we should talk about what happens if this doesn’t work.”

Maura pretended to adjust the bag. “I don’t want to talk about it.”

"Maura…" The blonde refused to make eye contact, but Jane barrelled ahead. "It’s funny; I was the one who never wanted to talk. Never wanted to deal with the reality. Of us." The words made Maura halt her movements. "Always said to myself, ‘Tomorrow I’ll tell her. I’ll tell her I love her, tomorrow, definitely.’ You always thought I was so brave, Maura. But I was the biggest coward."

"Don’t say that," Maura admonished, putting her hand on Jane’s arm.

"I thought we’d have all the time in the world. I was afraid if I told you how I felt, I’d lose you." She turned her head and let a tear trickle into her hair. "I lost you anyway."

"That’s not true, that’s not true," Maura said. "You’re here and I’m here and everything is going to be fine."

Jane turned to look at her. She couldn’t help but chuckle. “Hives, Maura.”

About Us

We R Here Media is made up of your everyday, ordinary fans of television, film, music, and more. However, we are different in that we are queer-identified or queer-allied, and we want to change the world of media, all forms of media, to be more queer-centered and positive.

For too long, LGBTQ+ fans have been forced to reside in the margins of contemporary media, particularly television and film. We were told too often to accept either no representation, essentially demanding that we find images of ourselves in a heteronormative and heterosexist, if not downright homophobic, world, or if we did get a morsel of representation, then it we should not fuss if it is not positive or if it is grounded in damaging stereotypes and overused tropes.

We R Here Media says that enough is enough.

Not only are LGBTQ+ and allied viewers consumers of media but we are the shapers of media, even creators of media. We are the future of media.

Simply put, there needs to be more and better queer-positive representation in our media, and We R Here Media is here, loud and proud, to push for it, encourage it, and even make it, if necessary, by engaging, harnessing, utilizing, and promoting the talents of our community.

We R Here…to be a driving force for media change.
