mmm, mmm, mmm! funky monkey smoothies! a really tasty treat i discovered at school, made at home! no more spending $4.00 on a small cup of this when i can make it way cheap at home! oh man it’s delicious

INGREDIENTS

1 large banana

2 tablespoons peanut butter
2 tablespoons chocolate syrup OR 2 tablespoons powdered chocolate milk mix
1/2 cup milk (skim or regular)
1/2 cup ice cubes


DIRECTIONS

toss everything into the blender, and blend. it’s that simple.

mmmm, peanut butter and banana smoothie! nix the whipped cream (or keep it, who cares?) and you’ve got a perfect breakfast smoothie. it’s great for an afternoon snack! instead of throwing together a sandwich, whip up one of these, instead! make it thicker for dessert by throwing in some vanilla ice cream!

total amount of time: 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 banana
  • 1/8th cup of peanut butter*
  • 1/2 cup of milk*
  • 2 tablespoons of honey

*for a healthier, lower calorie option, use organic peanut butter and soy milk

Directions

throw all of the ingredients in a blender or food processor and press ‘liquify.’ 

toss in a scoop of ice cream for a thick dessert treat.

add whipped cream and drizzle honey on top to garnish if desired.
