Random Access Memories
DAFT PUNK

Daft Punk have promised that they’ll be releasing their own remixes of the songs on their latest album, Random Access Memories.
But Darkside a.k.a. Nicolas Jaar and Dave Harrington— have beaten them to the punch, remixing RAM in its entirety, and riding roughshod over its smooth patina.

Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky” has been called many things (electronic dance music’s savior, EDM’s demise, pure funk, completely derivative), but a soothing indie song it is not. Shoe-gazers looking to stay “up all night to get lucky,” however, can find solace in Daughter’s new cover, a breathy, minimalist take that sounds like one of best xx songs never recorded.

Richard Beymer
TWIN PEAKS

When Twin Peaks’ in-house photographer had quit and no further promotional shots were needed since the show was cancelled, Richard Beymer (Benjamin Horne) took his Olympus camera to the set and was given David Lynch’s thumbs up to document the last days of filming the show. His behind the scenes photography (partly included in the Twin Peaks Gold Box DVD set) has become legendary, showing the actors both in and out of character, and The Black Lodge from angles you haven’t seen it before.

Stephanie Jung
JAPAN

Stephanie Jung is from Schifferstadt, a small town in  South-West Germany, but she spends a lot of time in Berlin during the year. In 2010 she finished her studies in Visual Communications, where she discovered her passion for experimental photography. Since then she is working as a freelance photographer, focussing on her personal projects. She loves to travel all over the world, especially to big cities, to capture the vibrant and hectic mood of a place. But her work is not just about citylife, it’s about time and caducity, about capturing special moments getting lost in time. Some of her work has been published in different magazines as well as exhibited in art galleries.
