120111 Cafe Noriter

After that lunch in Yellow Cab and with the remaining people I have, we went straight to Noriter. Noriter is one of the most popular cafes around Taft, mainly because of its relaxing atmosphere and with all the cute doodles and lovely decorations around the cafe.

So basically, we went there just to kill time. None of us really wanted to order anything! haha! But since annoying tambays like us are not tolerated to stay inside the cafe, Nina bought a drink and later on, Bryan bought one too.

We just sat there and talked about random stuff.

This aint my first time to be in this cafe, but it was my first time to have the chance to take pictures of the place.

image

One of Noriter’s attractions is that you can doodle a paper cup and they will display it like this in their cafe.

The place is pretty much filled with doodles. From the window to the wall to the—

Oh, and check out their toilet

There’s this part in the cafe where a mini second floor or I don’t know how you call that but it’s elevated and have mini tables so you have to sit on the floor like that^ It’s cozy up there and it gives you the feeling that you have your own little space. Every couple’s favorite nook. ;)

And I very much adore this door. Haha! This is the view from the inside.

Now, keep calm and let Nina do the modeling for me

Chewy Junior

I’ve always wanted to try this but I don’t wanna try it alone. Luckily though, when I had a chance to see my friend, Bonn after a year, we were able to make Chewy Junior squeeze in to our itinerary and taste their yummy cream puffs!

Hi Bonn!

image

As first time customers, we both picked the safest flavors, Strawberry Cream Cheese and Blueberry Cream Cheese.

image

There are other interesting flavors too but I can’t order everything. So, instead I bought a box of 8 mini cream puffs (P99.00) to taste their other flavors and also to take home some of them.

image

image

I’d say that they really are chewy and definitely yummy! Except that they are not as sweet as I expected them to be. Although, my mother who’s not a fan of sweets rated these cream puffs as delish. She said that they are sweet but not sickly sweet.

image

Well, I like sickly sweet and I still like Chewy Junior’s cream puffs just as much. What’s addicting about this is that it has a wide range of flavors that you just wanna taste everything! I am definitely going back.

image

They can be bought for P45.00 (Deluxe flavors) and P55.00 (Premium flavors). Other than cream puffs, they also cater Italian food! Yes, like pizza and gelato.

Now, go check out their branch at SM Megamall and send me some of their mini cream puffs!

Personal Mandala

Perfectly imperfect

For my PARTDES class, we were asked to design a mandala which tells something about our personality or life. So, each symbol in there represents something about myself, like for example, the orange triangles represent my love for pizza.

This was actually done in paper first but since we also have to use our design for a product or anything multimedia arts related, I had no choice but to do it digitally using pen tool. Imagine how long it took me to finish this, if only I have a tablet (self-pity-moment). Anyway, I made it into a canvas bag design although I originally thought of making it into an iphone case design but then I got lazy.

I made a series of artwork inspired by Jason Mraz’s “I Wont Give Up” Lyric Video

Here’s the 4th artwork!

I was a bit skeptical if I should post this one or not. I know that the typewriter has nothing to do with the quote so I’m kinda scared that some troll might play with it and place an obnoxious red text on top of my artwork saying “Keep on trying, typewriter! Do not give up!”… Spare this one, please :(

This totally made my day! :D I just got my first 2 promotions in Society6! I’m sorry for being so superficial about this, but this made me really happy! :D (newbie here)

By the way, I have a shop in Society6 which sells art prints, iphone cases, laptop cases, stationary and t-shirts but I wouldn’t recommend you going in there yet since I just verified it today and I only have a few products posted. I’ll just update you once I’m ready for transactions.

Past Project Update: Game Interface Design

RACE TO CANDYLAND! Because I love sweets so much that they deserve to have a video game in a ‘super mario-ish’ style with the Gingerbread Man as your character. I swear, I’m going to make this one into an actual video game someday.
