Good morning, my lovely followers! 💕

Today is Friday— and that means it’s time for the weekly reminder to write, make art, and dedicate some time to the things that mean the most to YOU!

PS: Did you know this weekly reminder has been running for over a year now? This weekly Friday segment began a little over a year, along side my Story Seeds & Character Questions! Crazy how time flies, huh? 😎

And now, ladies and gentlemen (and of course, the rest of us not included within that binary), if you were waiting for a sign that today you should write, draw, make music— then THIS IS THAT SIGN. Today is YOUR day. Dedicate it to the things that make you happy, and to the art that only YOU can make!

I repeat:

☆ Write!
☆ Draw!
☆ Make Music!
Make. Good. Art.

And don’t forget to take some silly selfies!

As for what *I* am going to be doing today, I’m working on a new book. I’m probably writing as you read this, actually! Oh, by the way, I’ve been uploading VLOGs on my channel following my writing process & struggles, so if that interest you— you can find them HERE (but only after you’ve gone and made some art! ;3).

And~ as always! If you’re looking for something to write, I have plenty of Story Seeds and Weird Prompts on my blog! And, don’t forget to tag me (maxkirin) or tweet at me (@MistreKirin) if you make some good art or take selfies~ 😍💕

Today is your day, dear friend. Create the art that is closest to your heart, the art that you — and only you — can make!

I recently discovered the tumblr weeklyartchallenges through my friend icharin and figured I’d give this week’s superhero challenge a go!

This is Shooting Star, a magical girl/brawler. This fourteen year old might use magic to transform but in a fight she’d rather beat you to a pulp then cast a spell.

Made in firealpaca with some of their new brush options.

As for what *I* am going to be doing today… well, I finished the first of the two books I set out to write this Camp NaNoWriMo, and I’m about to get started with the second one! It’s an exciting time~ by the by, if you want to see my process I’ve been uploading VLOGs on my channel, you can find them HERE (but only after you’ve gone and made some art! ;3).

Join the Witch Weekly staff!

Hey friends and followers! As you probably know, I’m the head designer for witch-weekly-magazine, a monthly in-world fanzine that I work on with a bunch of other talented people. We’re looking for a few more people to join our staff, though, and I KNOW some of you guys would be perfect for the positions. Let me know if you’re interested!!

  • Britpicker — We try to make sure all our articles, advertisements and the like follow British standards, but our staff is a mix of American and Australian, so things get missed. We’re hoping to find a native British lady or lad interested in reading through everything, giving the issue a final once-over, etc., to make sure we’re following the rules.
  • Artist(s) — I’d love to branch out from purely photographs and get some more illustrations in the magazine. This would involve maybe around 3 or 4 drawings a month, and lineart would be totally fine. There would be tons of flexibility, but I could also provide guidance if needed. We also have a specific need for headshots of everyone on staff (well, our witch-sonas) by the end of this month (April) for a “meet the staff” spread.
  • Writers & Designers — And, of course, we can always use more staff of any sort! Like I said, I’m the head designer and I’d love to work with some other talented, creative folk to spread out the work a little. There’s also always room for more articles, if you have any ideas—and if you don’t, that’s fine too! We always have more than enough.

Our editor-in-chief, the lovely Elspeth at waiting-for-the-oncoming-storm, is AMAZING to work with and a really fantastic person. She’s my main contact on the staff, but everyone else I’ve interacted with on this project so far has been a dear as well. This is a low-pressure side-project and if you’re all interested in just doing a bit of writing every month, a bit of design, or a bit of art, TALK TO ME.

“In the Morning”

Fotografija je del serije fotografij z naslovom Still Life, predstavljena v obliki manjše knjižice (zine).

Fotografije ne predstavljajo klasičnih motivov tihožitja, temveč iz osebnega stališča interpretirajo pojem “still life”.  Upodabljajo ujete trenutke življena, iz katerih pa vseeno ne moremo razbrati nekega dogajanja.

Photograph is a part of a series titled Still Life, represented in a form of a zine.
Photographs aren’t just images of classic still life situations. They interpret the term from a personal view and portray different moments in life from which we can’t read any real action.

Wayyy overdue weeky for the theme ‘The Fool’. Did a little wiki research and it also represents the wild man and of course Enkidu was the first idea to pop into my head. But of course I didn’t think I could do Enkidu without a Gilgamesh so here we are with two tarot cards that I have very little understanding of : p

55 noses, before the week is over, since tomorrow I’ll be busy. Who knew they came in such different shapes and sizes? I guess everyone. A few of those are own nose - from different angles.

Word of advice - if you ever google “weird nose” you’ll come up with a bunch of Owen Wilson pictures, and many others I’d rather not have seen.

Next week I’ll be doing 50 shoes. It’ll be challenging I think, but I’m looking forward to it. I’ll do a couple of Rob Liefeld shoes, too.
