The 25-acre Arboretum at The Reading Public Museum has been a gem of Berks County since the current Museum building opened in 1928. In many ways, these grounds have functioned as Reading’s beloved backyard. For over 80 years the Arboretum has been the home of many events.

Under Johnson’s direction and commitment to cultural arts in the community, William B. Johnson’s Drumadics have supported Free Arts NY, as a part of their music education curriculum in 2010. They have performed for Cirque du Soleil’s OVO in NYC, and have opened for such artists as Eve, Raphael Saadiq, and Wyclef Jean. Johnson’s Drumadics have also performed for several festivals including Rachael Ray’s Brooklyn Block Party and Harlem Week, and have graced the stages of B.B. Kings, Aaron Davis Hall, Hammerstein Ballroom, Nokia Theater, and Lincoln Center.
