An international group of prominent scientists has signed The Cambridge Declaration on Consciousness in which they are proclaiming their support for the idea that animals are conscious and aware to the degree that humans are — a list of animals that includes all mammals, birds, and even the octopus. But will this make us stop treating these animals in totally inhumane ways?

Vegan MoFo Post #9. 9/14/14. PORTLAND/ SEATTLE Vegan fun!

Surprise and spontaneous road trip to Portland, Oregon!!! OMG. So exciting. I’ve ALWAYS wanted to visit Portland because it is basically, veganland. I had no idea it was 3 hours from Seattle & I would get the chance to go so soon!!! Only went for a day trip, but oh how I would love to spend a few days trying all the vegan food there is to offer. Just reading the lists on websites makes me wanna stay and eat everything.

I went to Mississippi Market where there are supposed to be 3 vegan food trucks— Native Bowl, Homegrown Smoker and Ruby Dragon. I only saw the first 2 although I was really looking forward to the apparent Quinoa Pancakes that Ruby Dragon serves. Although I just read some blog comments that it may be closed now )):

Adorable little hang out

I tried the Williams Bowl from Native Bowl which has a base of jasmine rice, homemade vegan chili, fritos, and chipotle sauce. What a whole lot of food from $8!! I could barely finish it. The chili was kind of spicy. The fritos added a nice crunch. I wish I could have tried them all!!

Then I looked next door at Homegrown Smoker’s special— Vegg A Muffin. Umm, WOW. Could not resist getting that to go. It was seriously, amazing. It blew my mind. One of the best vegan sandwiches I’ve ever had. I love breakfast sandwiches. Please make this part of your regular menu!

Are you drooling??

Then we went to the ever famous Voodoo Doughnut for dessert. They have a generous selection of vegan doughnuts thankfully, so I got 3. That was already considered self control. I really wanted to get 5 or 6 haha. My conclusion is that these DO live up to the hype— they were simply amazing. The flavors were good but the texture was just insanely good. Best vegan donuts, hands down. And it does not have that “deep fried food” after taste, I personally feel, that some donuts impart. At least the vegan ones I’ve tried.

Long line! But the wait was not too bad

MUST WATCH….

open your eyes, the hypocrisy in this video is astounding!

There is no kind way of slaughtering animals

1. The Milk Suggestion – milk is a weight gainer by design. In all species, the milk of the mother is designed to double or triple the birth weight of the offspring. Milk is full of estrogen due to the fact that loads of estrogen are needed to flood the blood stream of any mammal in order to produce milk in the first place. Estrogen is a fat gaining and water retaining hormone. Human milk is designed to add about 10-20lbs onto a newly born human. Cow’s milk is designed to put 300-400lbs on a calf but people still walk into my office confused about their weight issues, while consuming milk and milk products. No other mammal drinks their own milk past 2 years and no other animal steals the milk of another animal…….and you don’t see any short zebras or lions breaking their bones when they fall etc. The enzymes you need to digest human milk stop being produced by age 4-5 in the human body, so even human milk would cause massive metabolic distress after that age if consumed.

If you don’t think you’re running a program or hypnotic suggestion about cow’s milk, try drinking human milk or horse’s milk and see how your computer reacts. (how you react) Why are you so conditioned to drink cow’s milk, without any issues but most would never (under any circumstances) drink human milk with the same white moustache………even though your digestive system is designed to drink only human milk. Once you pasteurize milk, you destroy any ability it has to make you healthier. (remember that everything done to you that’s “bad” will always be done to you under the flag of “safety” and pasteurization is no different)

The guarantee that someone is working under this hypnotic milk suggestion is the programmed argument about calcium, strong bones, nature’s perfect food or getting tall from the calcium etc. Basically there’s an enzyme in milk that works with calcium, so calcium enters the cells. Since pasteurization is defined as “the killing of all enzymes” that enzyme is no longer functional so there’s really no absorbable calcium in pasteurized milk in the first place. The calcium is still there in the pasteurized milk, it just can’t be used….so it floats around the body to jam up your joints and arteries with those free floating molecules of calcium. You call that osteoarthritis and heart attacks in the real world. Even if the milk wasn’t pasteurized (which it isn’t) there’s more absorbable calcium in spinach or cauliflower to start with.

People under this hypnotic milk suggestion are also programmed not to think at all about any of these rational ideas. The most obvious observation is that cow’s themselves don’t drink milk to get their calcium, as they get calcium from grass. (grass is actually a grain) If someone has not thought about these very obvious points (and they weren’t 7-8 years old when those logical rebuttals first crossed their minds) they’re under this hypnotic milk suggestion. Plain and simple.

The milk argument has more holes in it than Swiss cheese. There’s so much wrong with drinking cow’s milk (or any milk today) that we could literally be here all day. As for raw milk, some people can tolerate it but you really don’t need any. It’s all a myth. This hypnotic milk suggestion also has a couple of stages, as some people do break away from cow’s milk but can’t shake the foundational suggestion………and that’s why you find them drinking soy milk, almond milk, rice milk etc. It’s a start but you don’t need any milk. It’s “demand” created out of thin air, based on advertising that uses hypnotic suggestion, mind control and NLP techniques.

Melting Vegan Cheese Trick !!!

I think I just discovered something… I was just making a vegan pizza as I sometimes do and I used Tofutti creamy smooth mozzarella style which is the cheese I always use for pizza’s however this time, for the first time it really really melted! I was trying to figure out what I had done different and realised that this time the cheese had been frozen, and i’d let it thaw for about 2 days before I used it for this pizza today and it seems to have had an effect on its melting abilities! Here are some pictures showing the comparisons! I was really impressed :)

Isn’t this horrendous? These fluffy little lives are ‘waste products’ in the dairy industry.

Sorry about the pictures, this is really really sad :( but as they say ‘pictures spare a thousand words’ & we have to share the cause!

.. I just made myself a bit teary ..

Quick update, so far have lost 7lbs in 7 days on HCRV 80/10/10 & hopefully that shouldn’t all be water weight as 80/10/10 is a HIGH carb lifestyle. The reason people lose weight eating low carb is because it take 3 grams of water to store 1 gram of carbs so cut the carbs … and lose water weight .. not fat!
People are in such denial

about animal suffering. I posted a status with some factory farming statistics, it’s funny how it gets all the meat and dairy eaters up in arms. Many say things like ‘this is exaggerated’ and refuse to face the facts and bury their heads in the sand. Others call you an extremist or a ‘crazy vegan’ or such like or say things like ‘If you cared about the starving people of the world you’d eat whatever food is given to you’. All of these responses show people going on the defensive… and as far as i’m concerned you only go on the defensive when you know you are wrong. Why, when faced with the facts and images of animal abuse due to farming for human consumption, can people not see the harm a meat and dairy including diet causes? How hard is it really to simply stop eating a food group, which incidentally is bad for your health, in order to save millions of animals, the environment and actually help feed starving people by giving them the grain and cereal that is currently being fed to farm animals instead to fatten them up for the meat industry.
