So I found this app called Scan Halal where you scan the bar code of your food and it tells you if its halal or not. It’s a free app too. Pass this on so others can see and worry a little less about their food/snack choices

Are we human?

So I have a cousin who keeps questioning why she isn’t married, and how she isnt getting any younger.

I feel for her. I really do. Allah :’( There are many many things in life that we question. There are many things we wish for, and don’t get. There are many things we expect in life, but ends in complete disapointment when it doesn’t happen. We want for things to happen, but we want for them to take place on our own time. It might just be that we would not appreciate what we had if it were to be presented to us at the time that we want it.

This is the time we have to put our complete trust and faith in Allah, our Creator. When He withholds something from us, the fact is that He is actually giving us. When we don’t get what we want, He is protecting us from something. We must remember, always, that whatever happens is by the will of Allah. He says ‘Be’ and 'It is’. Kun Faya kun.

Sis Yasmin Mogahed says: “We must know that if Al Wahab, Al Kareem has withheld something from us, it must be because Al- Aleem (the Most Knowing) and Al Hakeem (the Most Wise) knows in His knowledge and wisdom that at this time it is best for us that it be withheld. And so, Al Rahman (the Most Merciful) withholds. Know that He withholds to give”.

And this beautiful ayat, says it all - “But perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. And Allah Knows, while you know not.” (Surah Al-Baqarah:216)

This dunya has been planned, as have the moments that take place in it. What you want out of life will come to you if it is right and best for you. It will happen, but not on your own time. When the timing is right, it will come to you on its own. The timing that Allah has set for everything to happen, is meant to be a blessing when it takes effect.

If you are not married yet, be patient. if you are waiting to hv a child, be patient. if you are ill, be patient. if you are waiting for that dream job, be patient. good things to those who wait.

Truly, Allah is with As-Sabirun,the patient.

O ummah of Muhammad, The Prophet Muhammad was reported to have said that, “the ummah is like one body, when one part is injured, the whole body feels its pain.”

While you sleep comfortably in your warm beds, do not forget our brothers and sisters who don’t have homes left to sleep in;

While you have your iftar, don’t forget about those who are fasting everyday and never get to open theirs;

While you pray in your warm homes, don’t forget about our brothers and sisters who have no homes, who pray in the cold/scorching heat;

While you sit and waste time on social media, don’t forget about those who are being murdered, dying and suffering;

Whilst you go about your daily life, do not forget our ummah. Make dua for them, pray for them, send charity to them, spread awareness and remind about them. Use your time to do something for our ummah. If it was us, we would expect the same.

Prophet Muhammad (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “The similitude of believers in regard to mutual love, affection, fellow-feeling is that of one body; when any limb of it aches, the whole body aches, because of sleeplessness and fever.” [Muslim]

Call for the Ummah.

My aunt just stepped out of an abusive marriage Alhamdoulilah, she’s fighting for her kids as well as for her life. Her ex husband is a real psychopath and we’re afraid that he might harm her. Please I’m begging the Ummah to stand up for a believing mother and not forget her in your adiyah! May Allah keep her and her kids safe and guide her ex husband.
