I just realized that of all my closest friends out here, and myself, Brian is the only one who does NOT go by a shortened version of his name.

SHIT, BRIAN, GET IT TOGETHER! =P

Trying to be a Gentleman in the 21st Century #22

I’m not an uptight snob.

I’m not short haired, well groomed or masculine.

I don’t see a “lady” as having any greater or lesser status than a man.

Because being a Gentleman doesn’t mean those things.

It’s just about being polite, gentle and accepting. That’s literally it. And it doesn’t even mean being male. Women can be Gentlewomen. Please remember that people.

My friends are idiots, and I love them.

This is part of Tomo’s "Let’s Play" series on Minecraft. Brian guest stars. (And Tori was in the same room trying not to laugh while they recorded this.)

Seriously, I am howling with laughter. Give it a watch. You won’t be sorry!

Trying to be a Gentleman in the 21st Century #10

Suddenly realising I have an incredibly Steampunk lifestyle; I dress like a Gentleman, live in a quite old fashioned environment, drink tea constantly from fine china, collect antiques, have a fascination with gunpowder era military history; yet I spend little time not using some sort of electronic device, and I build and upkeep battle robots :I

I had another odd morning.

I go down for tea with Grandad.

My dad’s there too.

Dad: There’s a word for what you are.

Me: What’s that?

Dad: You’re a ‘steampunk’ (He’d heard it on Radio 4…)

Me: WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN FOR THE PAST TWO YEARS?!

Dad: (after a while of conversation along the lines of how he didn’t realise I’d mentioned Steampunk dozens of times to him) It’s funny, you think you’re an oddball and then there’s thousands of people on social media like you but you don’t even realise.

Me: *sits on tumblr in the meantime, looking down Steampunkish blogs* O.O Really?! I don’t realise

Mother: (comes in tearful) MCR have split up.

Me: Some sanity…
