Across conservative Pakistan, where Islamic extremists launch near-daily attacks and many follow a strict interpretation of their Muslim faith, many will face a challenge of balancing two identities. Some left their villages for the anonymity of a big city, fearing the reactions of their families while still concealing identity from neighbors and co-workers. (AP)
From what I’ve seen and read, these binders are the most effective and comfortable binders on the market. I have spent a long time googling and looking for binders for my husband and of all the ones I’ve found, these ones have had the most positive reviews and are actually some of the cheapest. They are made SPECIFICALLY for the trans community and so keep their needs in mind! please check them out, they’re not expensive and last a long time!
So I started a Go Fund Me so I can legally change my name because I just don’t have the cash flow to do so and I need my marker/name changed because, lets face it, It’s a big deal to have your name changed. Anyways, it’s a small amount so anything will help. If you can’t donate, simply reblogging this will help greatly. Thanks!!!
This lovely man is my soon-to-be husband, Issac! He is taking the brave step in his life to make his gender transition complete, unfortunately the universe has conspired against him to make this very, very difficult! I am asking for donations to the fund to help him get where he needs to be! If you can’t donate I completely understand, but every reblog helps a little, if you don’t mind cluttering your dash for a moment!
I have an issue with how people romanticize being transgendered when it comes to characters in tv shows or movies. For people who are trans, it’s a very scary process trying to get your life together and wondering if you’ll ever be happy. I see plenty of posts about how you should not romanticize mental illnesses, but a lot of trans youth suffer from severe depression and anxiety. Often times they go on to kill themselves. I have been questioning my identity for a long time now, I’m only fourteen, I’m literally just a child, and it’s hard going through that. When I see how people basically use it as a trend it makes me nervous and frustrated. I understand that sometimes you want to make your favorite characters trans so you have someone to relate to, but acting like it’s cute and quirky, or attractive can be hurtful to some people. It’s been a little hard trying to voice what i mean but what I’m trying to say is that I don’t want transmen to be seen as walking vaginas. Or transwomen to be seen as walking dicks. I dont want being trans to be seen as a fad.
