I was firing up Itunes for the new Owl City EP and noticed that the last.FM scrobbler said, “You’ve listened to Owl City 16,782 times.”

There are very few things I love more than sitting down with a good pair of headphones and listening to a new set of songs from my favorite artist.

For those who grumbles about TMS EP as being not "acoustic"

Making The Midsummer Station was an amazing experience because it was my first time letting outside collaborators into my process and I suddenly realized you can learn so much when you simply get into the same room with other talented minds. I completely love working on music by myself but working with others definitely has found its place among the things I enjoy doing.

This acoustic EP is a re-imagined trio of Midsummer songs, not “acoustic” as in a solo vocal accompanied by acoustic guitar, but “acoustic” as in chamber strings, upright piano, mellotron, organic loops and laid back synth pads. Also on the record are two new full-on Owl City songs called “Hey Anna” and “I Hope You Think Of Me.” I hope you enjoy this album as much as I enjoyed making it.

As always, endless thanks for your undying support.

Adam
