The Geneva hype is now among us and with the hype comes the cars.
Just a couple of days ago Lamborghini showed the world some absolutely stunning pictures of there new hyper car the Veneno, which undoubtedly looks like something from outer space.
It has fantastic fresh lines, so much aero that it appears to compete with the some of the DTM cars and is over the top and crazy, which is exactly what we want from a Lambo like this one.
In quite obvious and typical car manufacturer ways of doing things, just a couple of days after the images of the new Lamborghini were released. We now can feast our eyes on the fresh ‘LAFERRAI’. The new flagship, the conqueror the tip of the iceberg for the prancing horses repertoire of automotive pornography.
When i see the first glimpses of the new Ferrari which i believe conforms to be the F70, following the Enzo which was the F60 ect ect, im not actually that convinced.
Don’t get me wrong it looks absolutely fantastic, the lines are sleek, it looks like a hyper car should, but i feel that Ferrari havent made enough effort to create something which has completely new lines.
The nose to me looks like a combination of the Enzo and the 458 Italia which a smidgen of Pagani Hyeura.
This all comes down to aerodynamics and that they are finding a best formula, but this is such a long awaited and over hyped car that i was just expecting slightly more from Ferrari.
This isn’t all to say however that the specs for the car aren’t absolutely incredible, and boy i can’t wait to see some video reviews of it flying around some beautiful European cliff roads. How about sending me over to give it a spin Mr Ferrari??
I’m also not completely satisfied with the name of the car, but i’ll drop in this quote from president Luca di Montezemolo.
“We chose to call this model LaFerrari,” declared Ferrari’s President, Luca di Montezemolo, “because it is the maximum expression of what defines our company – excellence. Excellence in terms of technological innovation, performance, visionary styling and the sheer thrill of driving. Aimed at our collectors, this is a truly extraordinary car which encompasses advanced solutions that, in the future, will find their way onto the rest of the range, and it represents the benchmark for the entire automotive industry. LaFerrari is the finest expression of our company’s unique, unparalleled engineering and design know-how, including that acquired in Formula 1.”
