thallo

The Horae, or Hours, from Greek mythology.

There are two generations of Hours (and even a list of nine hours, from the Romans), but here I drew the first generation:

Thallo, the Hour of Spring, protector of youth and nature. She is a regular companion of Aphrodite, but also the one who waits for Persephone and walks with her when she leaves the Underworld.

Auxo, the Hour of vegetation and plants (I believe we can say she’s the Summer hour). She protects growth and fertility.

Carpo, the Hour of Autumn, she protects fruits and harvesting, and brings ripening. She is associated with Dionysus, and assists him in the vintage.

Hope you like them ;)

GREEK MYTHOLOGY

Lily Collins as Thallo.

The Horae were the goddesses of the seasons and the natural portions of time. They were originally the personifications of nature in its different seasonal aspects, but in later times they were regarded as goddesses of order in general and natural justice. Thallo was the goddess of spring, buds and blooms, a protector of youth.
