1 cup sugar 1 cup water 6 rosemary sprigs 4.5 ounces fig vodka soda water
Heat 4 rosemary sprigs, sugar and water over medium heat until sugar has dissolved, stir over medium-low heat for an additional 5-10 minutes. In a cocktail shaker combine ice, 4.5 ounces fig infused vodka and 3 ounces of rosemary simple syrup. Shake for 20 seconds or until shaker is icy cold. Strain contents of shaker into two martini glasses and top with a splash of soda water. Garnish with a rosemary sprig.
FOR FIG INFUSED VODKA: - 8 ounces fresh figs, rinsed and cut in half - 750 mL vodka - 1 air tight jar cheesecloth Directions: Place figs and vodka in air tight jar. Seal and let sit in refrigerator for a minimum of 5 days to a few weeks. The key is to taste every few days after the 5 day period until the vodka is to your liking! Strain contents of jar through cheese cloth to separate the vodka from the figs/stems/seeds. Discard fruit remnants and place vodka in a clean jar. Enjoy!
