Science isn’t stagnant and it changes with evidence. That’s why Pluto was once considered a planet and now isn’t. It was named a planet in 1930 and a lot had been discovered by 2006, including other icy dwarfs. The newer facts were analyzed and it became apparent that Pluto was not in the same league as the rest of our planets, so it was re-categorized accordingly into new category to accommodate it and the other significant bodies beyond Neptune.
It’s funny how one day it was, and then suddenly it wasn’t. It’s all so very arbitrary I really don’t give two fucks. Pluto will always be a planet in my eyes.
