This is Citroen’s vision of how we are going to travel in the future, and in their words “Make travel meaningful”. These quirky and highly stylized renderings have been released ahead of the Frankfurt Motor Show and feels like a boxy Volkswagen Transporter but with a sexy outer skin, bold front fascia, a massive grille and miniscule headlights. There is seating for 9 people but the second three rows can be folded down to make a bed.  There’s no word on specifications, but Citroën says the van is “intelligent” and “eco-friendly” so expect a hybrid or electric powertrain.

The general rule with headphones and earphones is ‘Bigger drivers deliver better sound’ but with the new EPH-100 earphones, Yamaha have managed to reduce the size of their drivers which can be mounted closer to the eardrum giving a pure, low-distortion sound without unwanted sound reflections. The Problem with conventional in-ear earphones is that the driver is mounted quite a distance from the eardrum and when the sound travels down the ear canal it gets reflected and distorted even before it reaches the eardrum.

The silicone end caps for the EPH-100 have been designed with a two stage flange. The first part smoothly guides the earphone into the ear canal and the second flange fixes the earphone firmly into the ear which makes a seal and reduces noise leakage. The outer body of the EPH-100 is made from lightweight high quality aluminum which provides a good feel whilst helping to minimize sound loss. Air outlet holes in the driver unit and exterior adjust sound quality and provide optimum sound emission with sharp definition.

The Citroen Taranis concept is a off-road vehicle which features a outboard double-jointed wheel set-up with and in-wheels electric motors. Designer Peter Norris started the Taranis project as a unconventional vehicle to be used in the Pairs-Dakar rally and made use of his idea of housing the motors which power the vehicle in the wheel hubs which in turn lowers it’s center of gravity. With its large outboard double-jointed wheel set-up, the Taranis has a huge footprint, resulting in an intimidating presence and generous travel in the suspension.

“The double-jointed front swingarms also help to reduce what would otherwise be an enormous turning circle and a luxury finish combined with a unique layout sets this off-roader apart from other concepts, with gullwing doors adding a final touch of flair.” Peter Norris
