It’s OFFICIAL!!!! Wilder Mind teaser.

Mumford and Sons - Wilder Mind

First off, OH MY GOSH MY FAVORITE BAND IS COMING OUT WITH A NEW ALBUM I’M CRYING AND DYING AT THE SAME TIME.
However…this album, “Wilder Mind,” is going to be a bit…different than their other albums. Rolling Stone reported that they are going crazy electric with this one, especially with the addition of synthesizers.
I’ve been seeing a good bit of butthurt and apprehension about this new, less acoustic sound. “They’d better not leave the banjo behind,” “This is not the same band I fell in love with,” etc. I understand - heavy electronics in the folk arena is shunned, and often for good reason.
But let us not forget a few things: 1) we’ve only heard about 10 seconds of any possible new music; 2) they’ve been around for a few years and have earned their stripes - they deserve to expand and experiment with their music…they also deserve our support; 3) remember why you love these four (possibly five?) men - do you honestly believe that the lack of constant banjos and mandolins are going to produce shit music? Allow me to remind you: this is MUMFORD AND SONS, ONE OF THE GREATEST BANDS KNOWN TO MAN.

I ask this of the fan base: I understand if you don’t like electronics in music (I happen to love it as much as I love acoustic guitars, but that’s just me); but, at the very least, don’t hate on something your have yet to even hear.

I personally believe this will be an incredible album - it’s been a long time since I’ve been this excited about something. Believe in this band - give them a chance. They deserve at least warm, open minds and hearts.

Now excuse me while I eagerly wait a couple months until this new beaut graces humanity. Mumford and Sons FOREVER!!!
