Behind all of the sex tips and naughty jokes, I am still a blogger at heart. Here’s a little Q&A about the blogging behind That College Girl’s Guide!
What inspired you to start That College Girl’s Guide?
I had just been through a rough breakup, and I created That College Girl’s Guide as an attempt to help fill the void that I was left with. I kept reading or hearing about all of these fun date (and sex) ideas. It would upset me, because I had no one to do them with anymore. So, to put my mind at rest, I started TCGG as a way to keep track of them for future use.
Soon, I was receiving questions from readers in my inbox. I wasn’t even trying to write a blog for the masses, yet it seemed I had a growing readership that trusted my opinion. That’s when I decided to get more serious, and make TCGG into the blog that it is today!
What is your favorite post that you have ever written?
It’s so hard to pick just one. I really enjoyed writing "The Problem With Men Giving Up Masturbation"!
What is the best piece of advice that you have ever received about blogging?
Don’t hold back.
What are your favorite blogs to read?
I love reading all the blogs written by my fellow Her Campus Blogger Network members. It’s such a diverse group of writers, and there is really something for everyone!
What is the most difficult thing about having an anonymous blog?
Maintaining the anonymity is definitely the hardest part! I have to really trust someone to tell them that I write the blog. Plus, social media (especially Facebook) and things like PayPal make it hard to remain anonymous. I’m always double-guessing myself, and hoping my real name isn’t popping up for everyone to see somewhere. It can be stressful!
