being the first to summit an unknown mountain is a crazy adventure. On the south east coast of iceland I packed my stuff, pointed to which peak I wanted to climb and did it. None of them were named, had trails or any roads leading to them. This was taken starting to scramble up the scree field, it was too cold to use my fingers any higher. Once at the top I howled into the empty valleys- I named the beautiful mountain Elisé.
Put climbing Mt. Adams on my bucket list last year and now I can finally check this baby off! Was very lucky to have had this opportunity to climb with good friends this year and spend an amazing weekend working my butt off to get to the top of this thing…12,276 ft up in the air with views for daaaays.
