Olympic National Park, Washington contains a million acres and three major ecosystems. Don’t expect beaches with lifeguards, but do expect to experience a wild, rugged beach and colorful ocean tidepools as well as mountain vistas, meadows of wildflowers and remnants of ancient forests. In 2010 Olympic welcomed 2.8 million visitors who contributed more than $100 million and almost 1400 jobs to local economies in Washington State. NPS Photo
