4.23.13 Training - M3:W1:D2

Mid back was pretty stiff/sore today & even though it loosened up a bit after foam rolling, I still didn’t feel safe repping much above 350 on DL’s.  But I still wanted to get a few reps in at that weight (as high as my home weights go), so I just ramped up to hit a few singles, then hit some pause squats & hammer curls before calling it a day.  I’ll get some light conditioning & mobility in tomorrow before working on speed/technique for bench on Thursday.

  • Barbell Deadlift:

    • 170 lb x 6 reps (+88 pts)
    • 210 lb x 5 reps (+109 pts)
    • 260 lb x 3 reps (+123 pts)
    • 300 lb x 2 reps (+136 pts)
    • 330 lb x 2 reps (+166 pts)
    • 350 lb x 1 reps (+154 pts)
    • 350 lb x 1 reps (+154 pts)
    • 350 lb x 1 reps (+154 pts)
    • cutting down DL volume this week
  • Barbell Squat:

    • 120 lb x 4 reps (+54 pts)
    • 140 lb x 4 reps (+62 pts)
    • 150 lb x 4 reps (+66 pts)
    • 160 lb x 4 reps (+71 pts)
    • 170 lb x 4 reps (+76 pts)
    • 3 sec. pause squats
  • Seated Hammer Dumbbell Curl:

    • 25 lb x 12 reps (+17 pts)
    • 30 lb x 12 reps (+17 pts)
    • 30 lb x 12 reps (+17 pts)

Workout Article Ideas?

Any ideas for articles to write up about working out? fitness? the mentality behind it?  Not much into writing about nutrition, just not my expertise.  Any ideas of topics that would be cool to write on?  I am brainstorming and trying to get outside my bubble a bit tonight and think on new stuff.
