We are going to try to catch ya’ll up on what’s been happening in London so far (try being the operative word). It’s been the most insane few weeks, since we arrived in the city on the morning of the 4th of January. The craziness actually started en-route to Toronto, where our bags mysteriously disappeared, despite us having gotten to the airport three hours before our plane took off. We were now stuck, flying to a foreign country with the clothes on our backs. Cody thought ahead and packed a few extra outfits; I however, didn’t. We missed our connecting flight, due to baggage difficulties, and had to rebook, causing severe anxiety on both our parts as we stood in line for over an hour, hoping we’d catch an early enough flight to still make our connection in Ottawa. Our seats on the eight hour flight to London weren’t next to each other, but after some negotiating, we ended up across the aisle, until the flight attendant asked Cody to move so a family of four could sit together. We did get seats next to each other…in the very back next to the bathrooms sharing a row with an old lady who drank non-stop and thought our space was her space too.

We arrived in London as a pair of homeless Americans, and navigated the confusing jumble of streets to find our hotel. It was in a great residential part of town, and lucky for us, near about forty other hotels, which we utilized during our three and a half week stint living in them. In total, we stayed in four different hotels and five different rooms.
