Keats. Keats is my favourite. I also like Poe, and I want to read more Yeats. I’ve really enjoyed what Yeats I have read, but there isn’t much. I also really enjoy the Romantics in general, so I’d pick up PB Shelley or Byron or Coleridge too (less so Wordsworth and Blake, tbh). Um. I’m looking forward to reading Emily Dickinson in a class this year, haven’t encountered her much but I feel like I’ll like her too. Oh and Shakespeare’s sonnets are pretty fucking hard to argue with. They’re cliches for a reason.
That’s all I can think of. I’m generally more of a prose kinda gal, but every now and then I like to pick up some poetry. Usually it’s Keats :’)
EDIT: You said “poems” not “poets” but I don’t have time to fix this. I apologize. I had just woken up.
Um, Ode on a Grecian Urn, The Raven, The Highway Man, Ode to a Nightingale, The Second Coming, Darkness (by Byron), Rime of the Ancient Mariner, We Are Seven (I really like the Romantics you guise), um… probs some other ones that’s all I can think of at this precise second.
