"I see at intervals a glance of a curious sort of bird through the close-set bars of a cage; a vivid, restless, resolute captive is there; were it but free it would soar cloud-high."- Mr. Rochester -Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte
*In my drawing the bird pretty much represents the human spirit.. how it can be happy and free and soar to endless possibilities… but is stopped by our insecurities and fears.
We have a choice to either be free and happy or caged and defeated (this choice is represented by the fact that there is no door on the bird cage) but we are too fearful and indecisive.. leading to a sore and troubled heart.
Chest feels big-ish today after hitting it hard last night. I think my pecs are adapting to all my push ups since I don’t get sore from them anymore. So I decided to do some heavy low rep variations of barbell bench. Keeping your muscles guessing is key to keeping them growing. I can definitely tell I hit them harder than usual last night….it’s a good sore! :)
