DAY 2477

Jalsa, Mumbai                Jan 25/26,  2015              Sun/Mon  2:01 am

The Government of India has decorated me today with the highest Padma Award of the country, the Padma Vibhushan ..

I have no words to express my gratitude to the powers that be and am most humbled and overwhelmed by the generosity of the people that decide or sit on judgement on this ..

In the family now we have a combined list of 7 such awards of the highest National acclaim ..

My Father : Padma Shree , Padma Bhushan

Jaya : Padma Shree

Aishwarya : Padma Shree

AB : Padma Shree, Padma Bhushan, Padma Vibhushan

In one family this must be perhaps the only reference or case in the country. I feel blessed and honoured, fortunate and humbled, overwhelmed and submerged by the affection and love of the people …

And here now the link for the National Anthem sung by me and video shot at the ancestral home of Rabindranath Tagore, in Kolkata - Jorasanko Thakur Badi ..

And now to rest … to travel tomorrow to beyond the seas to London and Dubai for the promotions of #shamitabhMovie ..

My love ..

The Last  Farewell

This picture shows the hard reality and two sides of the Hindu festival Ganesh Chaturthi. The God who was worshiped with such enthusiasm is left broken the day after the festival. The water pollution caused by the immersion of Plaster of Paris idols into natural water bodies is also a big threat. This shot was taken on the Aksa beach of Mumbai, India.

Existence is a mystery, and one should accept it as a mystery and not pretend to have any explanation. No, explanation is not needed — only exclamation, a wondering heart, awakened, surprised, feeling the mystery of life each moment. Then, and only then, you know what truth is. And truth liberates.
