This post is really long overdue. We totally forgot about posting this cafe. Visited the cafe in Dec 2014.
Lola’s Cafe is situated at 5 Simon Road, walkable from Kovan MRT station, or you can park your car at the open carpark that’s opposite Dominos Pizza.
They are closed on Mondays. Despite visiting the cafe on a Tuesday, the crowd was still significant. If you don’t like to queue, do make a reservation with them beforehand.
The place is kinda of small and cramp, tables were placed really close to each other when we went.
So, here we go with what we had for dinner. (=
Crab Spaghetti in spicy tomato cream sauce. The smell was great, portion was generous. The taste was really good for a start, but it gets overwhelming after a few mouthful of the pasta. The sauce was a little too heavy for me that i got tired after eating half of it or less. Sharing it would be more advisable so you don’t get sick of it.
Pacific Dory Burger. Plainly speaking its just a piece of dory fish n chips stuck between 2 pieces of bread, along with some vegetables and cheese. Taste was normal and nothing special. At best its just a mediocre burger. Not really worth it if you were to queue an hour for this.
Honey Paprika Crispy wings. Many told us that this is the best and how awesome it tasted. So, we decided to try it out. We felt that this side was overrated. The wings are indeed cooked just right, crispy on the outside and tender juicy on the inside. However, we didn’t really taste much of honey or paprika. It felt like a normal fried chicken wing which was well fried. So we thought, maybe the awesome part was the skills of the chef frying the chicken wings? Well, we will still say this is worth a try, you made like it like how others love it. (=
Finally here! Cosy cafe near the blk 85 Market and the pasta is good!! 🍝🍴😁😀 #midweek #togethercafe #sgcafe #bedoknorth #matchalavacake #mangolatte #teriyakichickenpasta #먹스타그램 #냠냠 #케이크 #카페 #싱가폴 (at To-gather Cafe)
Finally. I wish I could say I loved it - for it looks better than it tastes. The cake had a strange sourish flavour which was slightly disappointing. I was definitely expecting something sweeter, if not more solid (even if it is a cheesecake).
