HI! Mod of YuYuRewatch here, I noticed your excited post and would like to follow you but also I want to know who your favorite character in Yu Yu is, and also if you ship anything and if so what, and also tell you I love you okay bye. *smooches your cheek and disappears*
SO I WASN’T GONNA GET ONLINE TONIGHT BUT THEN I SAW YOUR REBLOG ON MY MOBILE AND HAD TO RESPOND BC OMG I CAN’T. HELLO FRIEND!!!!
Kurama has been my favorite asshole since I was nine years old tbh. NINE. I was a lil baby anime fan and Kurama was my first ever anime boyfriend it’s hilarious to look back on. Also tho I am a member of the Kuronue fanclub because I have seen the movie like 30+ times and I’m a loser but I love that fucking whateverthefuck kind of demon he is. (tho i’ve also always adored Hiei + recently have a newfound love for the delinquent duo)
As for ships, I’m pretty kind of vanilla boring Keiko/Yusuke (we all know who wears the pants there), Kuwabara/Yukina, Hiei/Mukuro, uh…I used to ship Kurama/Kuronue hardcore in my preteen years, but tho I stopped shipping it romantically they’re still my Top Brotp Ever. Mostly I kind of ship Kurama/Not Getting Injured. I also kinda ship Koenma/Botan??? Yep. I mus really need to rewatch the show bc that’s all I can think of?? Wow. YES A REWATCH IS CLEARLY NECESSARY.
But yes hello!!!!! And hello YYH people who follow/will follow/have followed I love you all already .
There’s a lot at stake for your main character, and the plot seems very suspenseful. It sounds like you know exactly what you want to write, and you’re really passionate about the idea, which is important.
I read through your messages a few times to catch if you’ve started writing yet, and I’m not sure. If you haven’t, my advice to you is to begin writing now, even if you don’t have the ending completely figured out yet. If you have started writing, then just keep moving with your plot as is. When you have this much floating around in your head, it’s hard to make room for new ideas (like the ending, in this case). Start getting your ideas written out in story form, so they’ll take up less space in your brain.
You’re going to doubt yourself, and you’re going to get frustrated, and that’s completely normal. An idea will rarely sing on key the first time you write it. Sometimes you have to practice it before you’ll feel completely comfortable with the material.
When you get to a point where you don’t know what to write next, ask yourself what you want the ultimate outcome to be, and then work backwards to get there. Skip the ending and write an epilogue. With the epilogue as your starting point, you can begin to hash out ways to bring about this epilogue.
Sometimes with endings, we honestly don’t know what we want, or what we’re working towards. Figuring it out will help you plot out an intense climax that has a direction.
Before you do anything else though, get working on the story. For now, try to live in your story rather than your research. Write the scenarios you have planned and see what works and what doesn’t.
Have you heard the cast commentary, though? Touya’s VA was an amateur enthusiast who begged for a part in an anime. He wasn’t a professional, so I’m inclined to cut him a lot of slack. He put a lot of passion into it.
That actually explains a lot. I haven’t heard any of the commentary. I have the repackaged box sets (the ones in the slim cases) and they don’t have any extras aside from like textless op/endings.
So, yeah. I’m inclined to cut him slack now too. Thanks for letting me know.
