Kind of a walk through on my creative process. I was in love with the blue crystals, and I knew I wanted to do something with them.

To me, the color was like lapis lazuli, so that led to working with gold and then me looking up Egyptian gemstones. I put a bunch of them on my craft mat to see how they looked together. In that screen you can see the dyed blue chalcedony, gold plated chain, garnet rondelles, carnelian rondelles, and malachite rondelles. I tried to keep the malachite in the design, but even with a switch in cut it seemed way over the top for me, so I ditched it.

The final picture is the finished product, complete with cat ear. I like how it turned out.

Sorry my design board is so dirty. Don’t judge me!

sariswhimsy reblogged your post: Im honestly scared to go into the Yom HaShoah and…

I am so confused. What is going on beyond the normal goyishe bull shit?

there’s actually not much going on in those tags rn as far as I’ve seen, i was just nervous that there might be

basically there’s a shit ton of people saying that Jews are being inconsiderate for, on Yom HaShoah, only mourning Jews (and not other groups as well) who died in the Holocaust, but they don’t seem to realize that 1) we have FAMILY who died in the Holocaust - Yom HaShoah is a day to remember OUR losses and the ALMOST HALF of our worldwide population who perished and 2) there are plenty of other days where we DO commemorate all the other groups who were persecuted and who perished in the Holocaust

i mean, come on, you don’t just go up to someone who’s mourning the loss of a family member and say that they shouldn’t be mourning JUST that family member, that they should be mourning EVERYONE. There’s a time and place for that, and IT IS NOT now.

why can’t we just have this one day to mourn OUR losses?
