I love this picture of me for the reason that I’ve never seen a more genuine smile on my face. Today was my last day of high school and I can’t remember the last time I smiled so passionately and felt so whole, surrounded by all these incredible people that were so difficult to say goodbye to. My best friend pointed out to me that many a times I didn’t think I’d make it to the end of senior year but the fact that I’m graduating in 4 days makes me realize that if I’ve made it this far, ill always be able to move further. The past two years have easily been the toughest of my life but this ending brings out a whole new beginning. University is something I worked hard for despite every challenge that had its toll on my academic progress but come fall UC Santa Cruz will become my new home and dream come true. When I officially say goodbye to high school on Tuesday night, ill be looking forward to what comes next. All I know now is that this time of my life is my dreams coming true in the making and I’m ready to face what the future has in store for me.

I like to spoil my best friend because without her I wouldn’t be as strong as I am today. I couldn’t have come this far without her. I’m not with her in Canada yet but I made sure she had a friend (Spaceship the bear) to keep her safe until I get there. One of these days I’m going to be with her and it will be the greatest time of my existence. I love you so much Daisha Dawn! xx

I have yet to make a vacation appreciation post. My graduation present to myself was a trip to Washington to be with two of the most beautiful girls I’ve ever known, Arcadia Tullis and Ashley Ellis. I can without a doubt say, this was the best vacation I’ve ever had. Being with Arcadia for the second time and meeting Ashley for the first, was an unbelievable experience for me. For the first time I traveled alone, rode on a boat, saw a waterfall, went to the snow in the mountains, jumped off a dock into a lake, explored Washington and Seattle and saw more beautiful places than I’ve ever seen before with two of the most influential people in my life. I came back home having the greatest appreciation for the people in my life, how beautiful this world can be once you decide to step outside your comfort zone and explore new places and how fortunate I am to have people that love me and inspire me the way that Ashley and Arcadia wholeheartedly have. I also have this newfound obsession with lavender and red bull Italian soda! It was the trip of a lifetime and I can’t wait to go back again soon and next time have my passport so I can travel to Canada to finally be with Daisha and Maddi. :)
