BAYFOOD COOKS: Or, when you’re watching New Girl, you can enjoy this pretty Blueberry Lime Salsa! Okay, I don’t really know what that has to do with New Girl per se, but I feel like Jess would like it because it’s pretty and it’s in a mason jar and she’s a hipster.

I actually really disliked the show during the first season. My roommates would watch it every Tuesday, and I would reluctantly join them but I found it really try-hard at first. But then I started watching the second season and IT WAS SO MUCH BETTER. I think it’s because they took the focus off of Jess and incorporated the other characters more. Winston is my favorite. Anyway, then I went back and watched the episodes I missed and I totally love this show now.

I found the recipe here and I thought it looked so pretty that I had to try it. It originally used strawberries, but I don’t eat them anymore because of a silly mild allergy, so I substituted raspberries, with about 1/4 cup. I left mine a little chunky too since I like that. It was surprisingly good! I’m trying to broaden my horizons by incorporating more sweet and savory things, so this seemed like a good opportunity to try it. The fruit helps from making it feel like it’s a heavy snack and makes you sort of feel healthier, lol.
