I’ve teamed up with Livenation and Trunk LTD to showcase their new collection!

I gravitated towards their vintage inspired tees from various comics. This “BAM!” from Batman is awesome and is a print with attitude. It was a bit nippy while home in Louisiana so a simple burgundy cardigan is perfect for a graphic tee like this. To keep the look casual, I wore my favorite skinny jeans and Nike shoes.

Yesterday I woke up to find out I was on the cover of Metro New York with my friend Nicole and had a full story inside alongside my other friend Ryan. It was so surreal to see how far I’ve come in the four years I’ve been in New York. Especially just before I leave to Paris today. Life is too short not to chase your dreams!  Click here to read the full article.

New Year, New Me

Another shot from yesterday’s post. This Topman coat is stunning and amazing warm. The plum/burgundy color is plus as the winter in New York can be so monochromatic and this offers a little pop.

I visited Tumblr today and almost cried.

One of the best perks of going to a school in NYC is that I get to take trips of a lifetime. From my first corporate trip to the Toys R Us campus to the Vera Bradley showroom to going to Seattle, Washington to explore Nordstrom, Inc. at the end of the month, I’ve had some incredible memories made all thanks to FIT and its location.

Today, though, a HUGE dream of mine came true: I came to the offices of this exact site that you are currently reading this one. If you saw my Instagram, I went to the Motherland that is Tumblr.

So many emotions filled me when I saw the ’t’ symbol on their office doors and the word embedded into the front desk. I wanted to cry, scream, search for David Karp, and throw my resume down telling them I would be their best hire.

I wanted to tell them how this exact site changed my life five years ago when I was in high school. I practically needed to tell them how I run three accounts, thank them for practically creating the One Direction fandom and their superstardom and making me feel like I actually belonged somewhere. But instead, I had to keep composed as we chatted with Fashion Evangelist, Valentine and my good friend/incredible menswear blogger, Ryan

We spoke about how to make your Tumblr better, brand partnerships, fandoms, and content. It was incredible that he actually took the time to sit with us students and chat about social media. He also hinted that a “fashion designer who has never been on social media” will be launching a tumblr in two months. Oh, and did you know that celebrities have secret tumblrs? WE KNOW YOU DO, ONE DIRECTION (even though Valentine didn’t hint at it, I’m now convinced).

I’d like to thank Ryan and Valentine for this incredible discussion, even though we were there for only an hour. As a tumblr blogger myself, I think I will now be able to take their advice and put it to the test on here.

Reblog and like on, my friends!

Memorable Moment: Invading Tim Gunn’s Apartment and Closet

Recently, I had the extreme honor of sitting down with Tim Gunn at his lovely apartment to catch up and talk fashion of course! I first “met” Tim over a phone call during my sophomore year of high school. I requested to interview him about an event he was speaking at near where I used to live called All Access Fashion. I was so shocked that I had received a yes and felt so immature by asking for the interview to be “after 2:30, which is about when I get home from school.” The phone rang. I answered. “Hi Ryan, it’s Tim Gunn. Tell me something, is it really true you are only 15?” I had no idea what to say after that.

Fast forward a year and I have been very fortunate to interact with Tim at other events in the D.C metropolitan area and in New York. Tim is a charming gentleman and is amazingly well spoken. As you could imagine, his apartment was as put together as he is.

For the first half hour of our designated hour we caught up, chatted about industry happenings and gushed over Dan Brown’s latest novel (which at the time neither of us had free time to start reading it). Then, snapping back and remembering we only have an hour to photograph Tim and his home we began.

Tim’s apartment has hundreds of books on fashion, art and architecture. His passion for architecture started with Legos as a child and can be seen in his with the models of iconic buildings from around the globe.

Next, we took a peak upstairs to look at his closet. It is all coordinated by color and item type. His wardrobe is scattered about several closets and not in just a single ‘Sex and the City’-esque one as I’m sure many would think.

The apartment is a complete branch of Tim, which is always great to see. You must always make your home your home and not just what looks good universally.

Thank you so much Tim for having us. This is truly a moment I will never forget. Tune in to Project Runway on Lifetime, Thursdays 9pm ET.

Jeremy Scott’s recent fashion show was, of course, a major success. Seats filled crazily fast as everyone was eager to see Miley Cyrus’ art and, well, herself.

The Shrek Collection, which I assume Jeremy found his inspiration from Tumblr, recently sold out of major key pieces like the above “Shrek Pixel Sweater.” The sweater retails for $270 and I am not going to lie: I kinda want one. What do you think of Jeremy Scott’s collection?
