My other blog is up and running!

Okay, so there’s not a whole bunch on there, but I did just publish a book review! It’s a bit delayed because of a friend-emergency I had to take care of last week, but it is on there now!

Check out the new blog here!

As I mentioned before “ringaroundtheprose” is a place for my DIY stuff, including but not limited to book reviews, travel things, home projects, and other shenanigans.

Feedback is always welcome, feel free to send me stuff through tumblr or email me at mikaraeofsunshine@gmail.com

Wooooo! :)

What if the love potion Rumple bottled WAS the curse the Evil Queen used in FL? It was powerful and had the potential to be used for good OR evil, but the other ingredients the EQ added (i.e. hair from evil creatures, the heart of the thing she loved most, etc) turned it truly bad. Then it makes sense that the "antidote" is the unborn child of the two people who were used to make the curse in the first place (i.e. Snow and Charming).

I actually think the true love’s kiss/hair is part of the curse, although not ALL of it. I think the theory about it being the “counter-balance” that gets the curse destroyed. Like, the most evil curse of all needs the most powerful magic of all (true love) to be destroyed. And since Emma was created from true love, in a way, she’s the one who’s gonna destroy it.

Ever since I signed the lease for my apartment (move-in is in November!) I’ve been thinking about all the cool things I can do to really make the space mine. This morning I finally joined Pinterest in the hopes of finding motivation and inspiration for future DIY projects. I ended up finding a little more than that…

When I searched for “travel DIY” I was surprised to find the travel journal I had made for a trip I had taken a year ago pinned to several different boards. I guess I should have expected that…once things are up on the interwebs they’re up there for everyone to see…

Anyway that’s sort of been the kick in the pants I needed to get this blog up and running again. I’ve come up with a few topics I’m passionate about that I’d like to cover, and have assigned them a specific day of the week.

I know, I know…it’s a pretty ambitious endeavor. My plan is to stagger the projects over the course of two months—start with Take-a-Trip Tuesday and Thesaurus Thursday, for example, and after about 2-3 weeks start adding the rest of the days one at a time. This will give me a chance to test out how much I can handle and make adjustments accordingly.

I guess that’s it…come visit! :)

#7, 12, 20, 29, 31, 46, 47!

Thanks for asking! I’m assuming that this is from the second thing that I posted.

7. How is the weather right now?

Real cold. No precipitation or anything, just real cold.

12. Siblings?

I have a twin sister named Sam. She’s nodaybuttodaytodefygravity here on tumblr.

20. What was the last movie you watched?

Last movie I watched was The Princess Bride, as I watch it pretty much every night before bed.

29. What books are you reading?

I have finished finals just this morning, so I am not currently in the middle of any books. Tomorrow, however, I plan to start Mark of Athena and then maybe some Shakespeare, Great Expectations, or The Wizard of Oz.

31. Favorite movies?

My favorite movie of all time is The Princess Bride. I literally have the entire thing memorized, and I could recite it word for word on the spot if you asked me to. After that comes Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility, and a bunch of kids movies (Road to El Dorado, Anastasia, Thumbelina, Tangled, Aladdin)

46. Right-handed or left-handed?

Right-handed. Fun fact: my dad was left-handed as a child but taught himself to write with his right hand.

47. How many pillows do you sleep with?

I have two for my head, one between my knees, and my turtle pillow pet Captain Wentworth.

Thank you so much for your questions!!!

I think there's a good chance that Cora is the QoH. Although the two are played by different actresses, couldn't that be a way for the writers to conceal the QoH's identity? I mean, if both characters were listed as being played by Barbara Hershey, that would definitely give everything away. Then again, they did credit Anastasia Griffith (who plays Kathryn) for Ep 18 before it aired, so we could have inferred she wasn't really dead (unless she returned as Kathryn's dead body...)

I truly think the actress who played the Queen of Hearts in Hat Trick was a “placeholder”, until they either 1) cast another actress (possibly a name actress) to play her or 2) decide to reveal who she really is (Cora?) and Barbara Hershey plays her.

Hi there! So I initially believed that Kathryn was still alive (i.e. the heart in the box wasn't hers) until I re-read the episode descriptions. In the episode 15 description it says "Kathryn's disappearance--and possible murder"; episode 16 refers to it as "Kathryn's suspected murder"; episode 18 refers to it as "the Kathryn Nolan murder". I know it's a subtle difference so I wasn't sure if it was intentional or I'm just over-thinking it :P

That’s true, but if you read the press releases, episode 18 also credits Anastasia Griffith (who plays Kathryn). And it’s highly unlikely it’s for FTL scenes, since the story will focus on Regina and Young Snow. So, unless she’s found *and* immediately after murdered for real, I think we can assume Kathryn is alive at least until 1.18.
