Rockstar Games presents the 2013 @RedHookCrit Barcelona

Barcelona, Spain - August 13th, 2013 – Trimble Racing is proud to announce the 2013 Red Hook Criterium Barcelona, presented by Rockstar Games, on Saturday, August 24th, 2013. The race will be held at the Parc del Forum and is free for spectators. Qualifying heats start at 17:30 with the final criterium at 21:00.

The Red Hook Criterium and presenting sponsor Rockstar Games welcome local partners Enciclika, Barceloneta Bikes, Transvallas Zamora, Pista BCN, Dosnoventa, My Beautiful Parking, Parc del Forum and is proud to continue with support from Giro Sport Design, Castelli Cycling, Cinelli, hatchMAP, and Selle San Marco.

The RHC features world-class road racers, track specialists, bike messengers and urban cyclists competing over multiple laps around a short technical circuit. Fixed-gear track bikes are mandatory, requiring riders to possess street-tuned handling skills and high levels of fitness. 

Traditionally held in New York City, and Milan the crit moves to Barcelona for the first time as the third round of the Red Hook Criterium Championship Series. Competitors from fifteen countries will comprise the most international field in the Red Hook Crit’s history. Seven of the top ten in the championship points series are confirmed including Neil Bezdek (Team Cinell Milano), Evan Murphy (Stanridge Speed Cycles), Kyle Murphy and Walton Brush (Mash SF) and Marc Marino (Low // Cadence). In addition to the Americans who lead the series, a strong list of top European athletes are registered including Francesco Martucci and Tommaso Noli (Iride Demode Squadra Corse), Enol Costales Cortina (Trimble Racing), Stefan Vis (WIT Industries / F.A.S.T Amsterdam) and former Red Hook Criterium Milano champion Jon Ander Ortuondo (L’uomo Col Martello) from Basque Country. 

With the Mediterranean Sea overlooking the circuit and the vibrant city of Barcelona as the host this will be a spectacular event“ said race director David Trimble. "It is our goal to line the entire circuit with thousands of fans.
