Hello there. It's my blog's first birthday today, and in celebration, I had a small party and promo'd the top nine blogs that I most "like" on tumblr. You were one of them :] I just wanted to let you know about your invite/promo, and I think your blog is great. I love all the Harry Potter stuff you post, and sometimes I learn something new about the series, so thanks. :]

awn thank you so much, really and happy blog anniversary!!!!

I was tagged (a long time ago..oops) by fictionalskylines (thank you btw)

List ten books that have stayed with you in some way. Don’t take but a few minutes, and don’t think too hard — they don’t have to be the “right” or “great” works, just the ones that have touched you. Then tag 10 more.

  1. The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald
  2. The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
  3. Wintergirls by Laurie Halse Anderson
  4. We Were Liars by E. Lockhart
  5. Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher
  6. The Harry Potter Series by J.K. Rowling
  7. The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton
  8. Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli
  9. The Giver by Lois Lowry
  10. Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte

And I tag: tilly-and-her-books emiblogsbooks, booksandchocolatesmears wanderlustforbooks, books-and-hot-cocoa, helloaworldofbooks, newtsbookblog, readingandrighting, bookish-ways, and the-fault-in-our-emotions If I tagged you and you already did the tag I apologize and if I didn’t tag you, feel free to do it!:)

Sirius turned right around to look at [Harry]…

"You want to [live with me]?" he said. "You mean it?"

"Yeah, I mean it!" said Harry.

Sirius’s gaunt face broke into the first true smile Harry had seen upon it.

Crack. Dead twins. Crack. Dead Percy. Crack. Dead Harry…

"Molly, it was just a boggart," [Lupin] said soothingly…

Sirius was staring at the patch of carpet where the boggart, pretending to be Harry’s body, had lain.

To this day, I can never shake the connection between this boy, Peeta Mellark, and the bread that gave me hope, and the dandelion that reminded me that I was not doomed.

I only see the image for a moment, because the train is off again, but it’s enough. Enough to remind me of that other dandelion in the school yard years ago…

I had just turned away from Peeta Mellark’s bruised face when I saw the dandelion and I knew hope wasn’t lost.

[Naming in THG: Katniss Everdeen]

“He is with me wherever I go,” said Quirrell quietly. “I met him when I [was a foolish young man], full of ridiculous ideas about good and evil. Lord Voldemort showed me how wrong I was. There is no good and evil, there is only power, and those too weak to seek it.”

[Pettigrew said,] “Sirius, what could I have done? The Dark Lord… you have no idea… I was scared, Sirius, I was never brave like you and Remus and James. I never meant it to happen… He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named forced me—”

“I haven’t got any options!” said Malfoy, and he was suddenly white as Dumbledore. “I’ve got to do it! He’ll kill me! He’ll kill my family!… No, you can’t [help me, Dumbledore],” said Malfoy, his wand shaking very badly indeed. “Nobody can. He told me to do it or he’ll kill me. I’ve got no choice.”

[Voldemort said,] “So Ginny poured out her soul to me, and her soul happened to be exactly what I wanted…. I grew stronger and stronger… I grew powerful, far more powerful than little Miss Weasley.”

…Harry saw at once that it was a diary… “I wonder why someone wanted to flush it away?” said Ron curiously.
