Weiss could hardly keep still.
She stood in front of her mirror, channeling her jitters into her hands to fuss with her hair, brushing through it for the umpteenth time. She needed to look perfect tonight, she needed to-
"Weiss, give it a rest already, would’ja?" An irksomely-familiar voice called to her from across the room. The heiress turned around to send a glare at Yang, who continued teasingly. "At this rate you’re gonna brush all your hair out. Buuut I guess that’s to be expected. You must be soooooo excited!”
"Hush, you!" Weiss snapped, turning back to her reflection. She tugged at her blue sundress before slipping into the small white jacket she’d prepared. "So what if I’m a bit excited to be going out with my girlfriend? Something - might I mention - you haven’t even managed to get yet.”
"Aww, you two are so cuuute~!" Yang grinned. "So where are you and Blakey going tonight, hmm?"
"That’s none of your business." Weiss grumbled, running her hands through her loose hair again. She didn’t want to say it out loud anyway. She wanted it to be a surprise.
Flashing a glance across the room, she caught sight of Blake briefly. “Are you almost finished getting ready?”
