I have started shooting film since March, and I tell you it’s not as easy as shooting digital. Not easy, and expensive, I know. But I also know this camera will teach me a lot of things and maybe, I might become a PROtographer after a few years more, who knows? Lol.

And since March, I haven’t printed any photos. Though I got a roll processed, it wasn’t printed because the sprocket holes were torn due to my carelessness. I re-winded the film the wrong way. Have I mentioned that I’ve wasted a number of films already? Stupid, I know.

Canon G-III QL is a rangefinder camera and fully manual! Just when I believe that I can shoot in manual mode almost perfectly, I realized in shooting a legit manual (lol), without the live view and all, it’s really a pain! I’m even using a cheat sheet every time I click that shutter.

And it’s really more expensive than shooting digital even say, a digital camera is worth thousands more. Imagine, you have to consider the price of the film with 36 exposures and the processing and printing and the scanning. Every time you shoot, you have to spend more, and in combined, you could even buy another digital camera by that. Hah!

Still, I knew I have to master shooting film. Even if I have to spend more. Even if it’s heavier than my DSLR. Even if I don’t carry it around all the time. I just have to learn shooting film!

That’s all.
