I decided to try my hand at drawing  passerinearts ocs. I love her blog and her attention to detail regarding her characters and their personalities. However I am not entirely happy with it. (Hence all the editing) But I really want to practice character design and it was good for me to draw some very ethnically diverse characters.

And the girl at the front with yellow dip died hair (Angestia?) looks super pouty…guess she doesn’t like me drawing her huh

Sins and Angels

In the Sassy Sisters universe, magical girls are known as Angels.

World of Sins;

The magical girls in my universe become Angels through Sin, or through being the victim of Sin, in order to fight just that - Sin. Sins are ethereal, twisted beings that reside everywhere, in everyone. They are what makes people do bad things - everything from stealing and hurting peoples feelings, to murder. I have Sins inside me, you have Sins inside you, meaning that when you sin, you’re not possessed by some evil demon - a darker part of you is simply unraveling itself.

Through repetive sins or extreme sins, a girl becomes an Angel. In most cases you’ll be allowed to decline or accept the role as am Angel, while in some extreme situations, if your Sin was far too great, you’ll be forced into becoming an Angel. Such was the case with Josephine, or Miss Mengelium. This makes you a Sinner.

(Angestia, Josephine and Minnie are some of the Sinners.)

Being a Victim of Sin will also turn you into an Angel. This means that you’ve been damaged by a Sinner. For example we have Nettine, who was in an abusive relationship with her doctor, who was a Sinner.

(Chrisphie, Nettine and Clementine are some of the Victims of Sin.)

To trigger the transformation into an Angel, your Sinning or Sinner will have to reach it’s peak. Let’s take, for example, Angestia / Eromania, who broke a lot of hearts. This was a repetive sin, and so her transformation was triggered when she went from accidentally breaking hearts, to purposefully breaking hearts. In Nettines case, her transformation was triggered when her abuser poked her eye out.

When you become an Angel, you take on the great responsibility of fighting Sins, to prevent evil from overflowing and consuming. An Angel has to defeat a Sin before it properly manifests and makes its body/vessel sin. During fights, the Sin will take on a more earthly form to defend itself, also making it possible for the Angel to fight it, either with sacred weapons, or with her magically enhanced hands.

The power and strenght of an Angel will depend on how great their Sin or Sinner was. Josephines Sin was great and grim, and so she started out with great powers. Pipers sin wasn’t as great, and neither was Sunnys sinner, and so they started out with less powers. From there on, Angels will train and improve, developing more powers and becoming stronger.

In some cases, how well you fight will depend on your state of being and mind. Chrisphie is a Victim of Sin, and was abused through several years, making her start out with immense powers. However, as a result of her abuse, she’s in a terrible, unstable state, making her less powerful during fights.

Sunny:

4. What kind of people do they hate?

I think Sunny, like a lot of the other girls, can’t quite find it in her heart to hate people - but she’s merciless when it comes to disliking. She finds it incredibly hard to get along with people who try to be superior to her, such as Honoria - she wants to be the one and only primadonna and princess and there isn’t room for anybody else in the spotlight.

23. What qualities do they most want to be associated with? What’s the highest compliment anyone could pay them? The gravest insult?

Radiant, ladylike, princess. She wants to be the best she can be and wants people to both view and treat her like ”the princess she is”. The highest compliment she could recieve would probably be something like ”you’re the most radiant princess to have ever walked this earth” or something super-duper sappy along those lines. Sunny is pretty easy to offend and easily takes things to her heart, but definitely something implying she’s dirty, lowly, un-princessy, etc.

27. How much do they care about etiquette, politesse, propriety? Do they have the same standards for themself as for other people?

Sunny expects everything to be top notch when it comes to etiquette - she’s bordering on obsessed with it. She keeps her manners in mind at all times, much due to the fact that she wants to be as princessy as possible. Still, she’s not as finicky with other people, and though she might wrinkle her nose at cussing and bad manners, she often finds herself surrounded by people who are more on the careless side.
