Promises, Promises: A Valdaya Story by Lo. [SIX]

Okay, that’s it. I’ve decided that I’m going to adopt all of you. We’re just all gonna live together in a big ass house and watch Valdaya vids every night and read and write fanfics all day. Hourly flailing will be a requirement. It’ll be awesome.

Ohhhhhh Disclaimer. The land I call my hoooooome. That’s all I know.

Anyway, here’s six. (:

Restrict breathing to an act,
Not one day alone, not apart.
Rest on beams, support each
limb. Never again forgotten, an
impossible solitude.
Each time you turn. Go. I fall
back into second as you return
to reality. Watching you fade
away into a place
I always believed. Knew that I
would walk into your path. I saw
you and waited. You were never
the man
We land. This land. Our land.
We possess it through shared
trials and own the seconds
we spend in each place.

Just so people know, so far, this is a very different poem to the one I originally wrote!

First Looks - Sony A7s from Steven Bailey on Vimeo.

This is, more or less, a completely random test - color correction and grading was quick and ugly, WB mistakes were made while shooting (among others), all that disclaimer stuff. I’m releasing this so it’s out there and I can join the ongoing conversation in a more tangible way. :)

But I do love this camera. My background is in the Canon world (C100, 5D3, rebel series), and I am more than comfortable suggesting that the A7s holds its own against the C100, and blows the Canon DSLR’s out of the water. I can’t wait to use it with proper cinema glass.

Shot in 60p, utilizing various profiles. Mostly Cine4 (untouched PP5), but some PP6 and even a PP2 shot. S-Log2 is something I’m constantly exploring. I might post an S-Log2 exclusive test at some point once I wrap my head around how to handle it in post.
