PETITION: for Twenty One Pilots to come to Perth

Hey! Homo sapiens!

To all those people who love Twenty One Pilots and lives (or loves) Perth, please help in our petition for Twenty One Pilots to come to Perth! If you don’t know where Perth Australia is here is a map (the red dot):

They have tour dates:

07.04 Brisbane, AU @ The Met
07.05 Melbourne, AU @ Afternoon - Corner Hotel (under 18)
07.05 Melbourne, AU @ Evening - Corner Hotel (over 18)
07.07 Sydney, AU @ The Metro Threatre
07.09 Auckland, NZ @ The Powerstation

But none of that is PERTH! We need them guys!! Help us out please!

I got my ticket! But is it true that under 18s have to be on the upper balcony cause that would kinda suck, but at least it's a small venue. -blurryfacealbum

Yay! See you at the shøw!

Again, The Powerstation is a bar, so it really depends what the majority of the tickets are, which I’m picking is all ages general admission, which would mean that we’re downstairs. I’ve been there twice and each time was different, but last time I went (a few years ago) the security dude there said that they’d changed it to accommodate the ages of the majority of the tickets (larger group of one means a larger area). But I’m guessing that we’ll be downstairs :)

(I’m hoping we’re not upstairs, because I’ve been on that balcony and if you don’t get to the railing, then you can’t see the stage very well.)

17yrs ago today Senior Firefighter Darryl Paul Harris died after working for 36 hours to control a fuel spill at the Gladstone Powerstation. A 24 year veteran of the QFRS he was farewelled at a state funeral and a final turnout by his fellow officers and family. RIP Dad you will always be missed and the lessons you taught me will never be forgotten. I know you watch over me every day when i am on duty and Mason & Mel for me when i am working. Love You Always Josh

He was the coolest white man on the planet back in the 80’s and 90’s. .. and one of my favorite singers.. shout out to the late great… ROBERT PALMER… #ADDICTED2LOVE #ROBERTPALMER #THEEIGHTYS #ROCK #BLUEEYEDSOUL #THE80S #POWERSTATION #ROCKANDROLL #80MUSIC #POPROCK by prettytonytaylor https://instagram.com/p/2sGWwHQjdB/
Blue-eyed soul (also known as white soul) is a term sometimes used for rhythm and blues and soul music performed by white artists.

skeltus asked:

do you kno the deal with under 18s at the concert? Like it says on powerstation website tht all under 18s have to be upstairs but like is that a definite, cause on the ticketmaster website its only showing general admission standing on the seat plan

Because there’s a bar both upstairs and downstairs, they generally close off one of the bars, leaving the other one open for 18+. Because downstairs is a bigger area, if the majority of the ticket sales are under 18, then they’ll have 18+ upstairs with the bar and under 18/all ages downstairs. The whole venue is standing room but I’m picking for TOP, they’ll probably have under 18 downstairs (that’s how it worked for Owl City anyway, but they’ll tell us on the night if anything’s different :) )

I'm really nervous about the concert.. Any advice or tips? Xx

Aw no! Don’t worry, you’ll be fine and have the time of your life!!!

If you’re worried about getting a good spot in the crowd, then come a few hours earlier before doors open. Wear something comfortable and light - it will get hot inside the venue but when the concert finishes it can be quite cold, (especially Auckland in July!) so if you have a light cardigan or jumper you want to wear then wear that - it gives you an extra layer of warmth without being super bulky! Merch can be quite expensive, so come prepared! (the most I’ve had to pay was $50 for a shirt!) I personally like to get merch right when I arrive in the venue - that way you avoid the super long queues at the end of the night and you don’t risk the item you want being sold out! The Powerstation doesn’t let you bring in big DSLR cameras but if you want to take your camera then a simple point and shoot camera/your phone camera will be fine (If you’re taking photos remember to enjoy the concert through your own eyes too!!). If you’re bringing a bag in, security will check it at the door - from memory they don’t let you bring water bottles in (but that’s a standard concert thing). There is an area where you can leave your bag if you want it looked after (you have to pay for it though). If you’re not a fan of the pits then just stand off to the side - not that there should be a heavy mosh pit for TOP but still be aware of what’s going on around you and look out for yourself (and other people!). Bring earplugs!!! Even if you only wear them for the opening act, bring them and wear them! Save your hearing for TOP - it gets very loud inside the Powerstation and it’s better to protect your ears even if it’s for just a little bit! But most of all, just relax, have fun and enjoy the show - TOP puts on a really stellar live performance!!
