If any sinners were roasting away for eternity, they’re wearing down jackets now because Hell has frozen over…

I agree with Mitt Romney’s wife.

Democratic strategist Hillary Rosen took issue with Mitt Romney saying (maybe joking?) his wife Ann was his expert on women and the economy. During an interview segment on CNN, Rosen said, ”Guess what, his wife has actually never worked a day in her life.”

Ann immediately created a Twitter account to reply with this: “I made a choice to stay home and raise five boys. Believe me, it was hard work.”

Parenting. Is. Work. I don’t mean it’s hard (though, it is). I mean it’s a job. I understand Rosen was taking issue with the “economy” thing, but I’m shocked to hear a Democrat make such an idiotic statement. Apparently, so is the Obama administration. The President’s strategist David Axelrod tweeted: “Also disappointed in Hilary Rosen’s comments about Ann Romney. They were inappropriate and offensive.” Michelle Obama weighed in, too, tweeting: “Every mother works hard, and every woman deserves to be respected. –mo”

So, I now dig this conservative Mormon mother. I hope all those sinner are enjoying that snowball fight in Hades.

So today I went to a protest about labors new policies on refugees and it was cold, wet and interesting. Most of the people there were young, but there were also a lot of older people too. It was raining and freezing cold so it was pretty impressive  so many people still showed up.
We started at the state library and once we started marching went through the city, chanting “say it loud, say it clear: refugees are welcome here”. A lot of cars and people on trams were pissed off and beeping but no one gave a fuck. We eventually stopped at a building which I think had something to do with the government and some people spoke and there was more chanting. After that Jamie and I decided to leave because we were near a tram station that went to our house, we were wet and freezing cold, I couldnt feel my toes for most of it.
Although it was freezing cold and raining im still glad I went. It feels great to stand up for something you believe in and to see so many others doing the same, especially when it affects so many disadvantaged people who need help.

Hi Andrew: I’m writing because I just can’t deal with my father anymore. He’s a 65 year old super right wing conservative who has basically turned into a total

I’m sure this has made or is making the rounds, but I haven’t seen it, so here it is, for any of my followers who are interested. A beautiful rundown on why neither liberals nor conservatives are going to destroy the world, but rather the “Us vs Them” mentality people love to employ, and the dehumanization that follows.

ChristMAS or ChristMISS?

I’ve  been giving some serious thought as to how I’ve celebrated Christmas in the past. How Christmas can almost become Christmiss.  Christmas can easily deteriorate into only a list of things to do, cookies to bake and parties to attend.

How can we be sure we don’t miss Christmas?

· Lesson One:

  • Avoid exposure to the “scrooges”. (Thank goodness I can.) I will smile as much as I can to everyone…
