I’ve been watching the “Beginners” (2010) film directed by by Mike Mills today and I noticed that the main character’s house is decorated with Polish Posters! I searched the Internet for more information about it, I’ve found a picture of one the posters (that is the top picture), and here is what the director of the film said:
"They’re mostly Polish film posters, mostly by this guy - Andrzej Krajewski. How gorgeous are these?? How lush and juicy and raw and full of life. Why are they in the film? Simply ‘cause I love them and I hoped they would bring some of their jubilance to the house, some of their strange boundary-lessness."
The aesthetics of Polish posters is great and highly influential. There was a famous Polish School of Posters started in the 1950s. and through 1980s. that significantly influenced the international graphic design. All posters presented here comes from this school.
