pistol-grip

I’m not a trap and skeet guy, but I had the opportunity to shoot a sporting clays match with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Department last week.  It was a helluva time— even though I’ve never really done it before and I had the wrong equipment (Benelli M4 with no choke tubes).  I was getting plenty of looks by the veteran shooters, but when the short barrel started making hits, I converted some folks to the church of Benelli.  One of the best upgrades I’ve done to my Benelli M4 was to ditch the standard pistol grip and go with a traditional stock (shown here.)  For $150, it’s a great improvement to the stock ergonomics.  The weapon points better and is quicker on target.  Don’t get me wrong: I’m a fan of pistol grips— even on shotguns.  However, this setup definitely works better for me.  Factory Benelli stocks are hard to find, so if you need one, shoot me an e-mail: evan@onpointfirearms.com

Just installed my new TAPCO SAW grip on my FAL! The screw on the inside was a bitch to get undone, but I’m very pleased with the result, and it’s a hell of a lot more ergonomic & comfortable… and the little storage lid is neat. ^_^

Random side note: the old grip had a bunch of grime & stuff all over the inside, and at first I was puzzled as to what it was… then I realized it was a mixture of Cosmoline & sand, so I now have genuine Israeli sand all over my bed/floor. XD
