This is the healthy version of a Denny’s meal. I have a confessions: I’ve definitely put on some pounds since I’ve been here. I have a sweet tooth and my grandmother keeps this place loaded with fruits so I’ve stuffing my face with them oh and all the wine I’ve consumed this weekend. Sunday: get back on track. 4:30-whatever: Whatever.

Friend Day. I usually have hikes, BBQ’s, parties, dinner dates, etc on these days! :) Just a gym visit needs to happen in here at some point ;)

So thats my “summer” :/ Whatever, Its going to be about 60 days, and I’ll make enough money so that I get to take off two weeks and have fun and relax at the end of August before I intern at the Elementary School in town for a few weeks. I can do this!

Anyway, here are my day stats:

Diet & Exercise

Personal Enjoyment:

I purposefully spent quality time with my cat, who is my best freaking friend. I’ve been so busy that I haven’t had the time, or the energy, to really pay attention to her. It felt so good to give her that attention.

Spiritual Growth:

Uh, yeah, didn’t look last night #fail

I am slacking. Will be doing way more doses for a while to compensate. I got them all, but haven’t dosed any out. Wah. I will at some point, hopefully tonight. Hopefullyyyyy.

Eating and gym were on the mark. I will post weight stats next Monday night, but until then you just have to wait with anticipation.

Simple Tender Pot Roast with Holy Grail Gravy thanks to my #fastpaleo app! So easy, so tasty. I decided to take a break from everything tonight, no working out, no soccer practice, just an old horror film, laundry folding and myself. (Maybe some fat kid maple, pecan, banana, almond butter, chocolate chip ice cream dessert, I deserve it!) HA, but seriously. Be well. #paleo #teampaleo #paleohunt #health #nutrition #eatwelltrainbetter #showmeyourcleaneats #imsofull #doyou #behappy #wellfed #paleoplease #eatmeat #organic #healthandnutrition #foodporn #dinner #beef #fitstagram #fitspiration #overkill

When #mealprepmonday turns into #marinademonday 😛😛😛😛 From L to R: 1. Organic chicken tenders, coconut oil, cayenne, apple cider vinegar, smoked Spanish paprika, cinnamon, garlic powder, onion powder, garlic powder, local honey, raw honey, coconut palm sugar(not sure if it’s #paleo?), sea salt and pepper. 2. Organic chicken thighs marinated with #tessamaes lemon Chesapeake, olive oil, dash of garlic powder and mural of flavor. 3. Pork tenderloin marinated in homemade jalapeño & Serrano hot sauce, trader joe’s South African smoke blend, sea salt, pepper, Spanish smoked paprika, thyme, coconut aminos, olive oil, coconut palm sugar, oregano, garlic powder and onion powder. Different flavor profiles make this Paleo-ite a happy gal. Sweet, savory and spicy. It’s going to be a good food week. #paleoprep #teampaleo #cleaneats #eatclean #eathealthy #healthanddiet #healthandfitness #cleaneating #paleohunt #paleopower #paleoplease #eatwelltrainbetter

Day 1/100

So this is officially Day One of 100!! Yahoo! I am so excited! Things are going to be a bit more crazy and busy than I had thought for this summer, but things will work out. That is part of why I needed to do this challenge now, with being on summer break I can focus on me and not on my college courses. I turn 24 in 100 days, and when that happens, I want to be in the best shape of my life. I am too young to not be ;) Here are my updates for the day, not as great as I want but its a start ;)

Diet & Exercise

Personal Enjoyment:

I have yet to pick up a book for me to read for this first part of the challenge. I think I might read a yoga book, but I’m not sure.

I’m making plans with Megan to go hiking on Saturday, killing two birds with one stone. My weekly hike + a friends outing :) I have a dinner date with Sadie on Sunday after Fathers Day stuff to make our poster charts of the challenge. Sadie is doing this with me, and we are going to make big posters to put stickers on them for every day we go to the gym! Yay! We are such elementary teachers, its silly. lol

Spiritual Growth:

Currently can’t find my Magic book, but I will look hard for it when I get home. This morning was an interesting one. lol

My new shipment isn’t here yet, so I just took what I had left, planning on taking my full dose tonight.

So overall, I hit the major parts. I ate right, and got all of my work outs in. Its a matter of getting organized in the areas, and I am pretty sure that by Friday I will have everything in line. I tried to do that last week, but with finals and everything, it just didn’t work.

Well, one day down, 99 to go :)

My Mission

100 Days of Health Mission Statement

At the beginning of this year, I began to focus on myself and my health. Over the last six months I have learned how to eat properly, what proper nutrition does for your body, and how important proper exercise is. I have always worked out, ate right, and believed I was doing my best, but after delving into the literature, I learned I was not nearly as healthy as I believed. Since I struggle with multiple health conditions and diseases, all related to autoimmune complications, this lifestyle change goes beyond looking good in a bathing suit. I want change, big change, the kind that revitalizes your life. My goal is to make this happen over the next 100 days.

My goals are broken into diet, exercise, personal enjoyment, and spiritual growth. Each area has daily goals that I wish to accomplish over the next 100 days.

Full Paleo commitment:

No legumes (beans, peanuts, soy, etc)

     No diary

     No grains

     No gluten

No processed oils (only pure olive oil allowed)

     No Corn

     No Chocolate

     Limited nuts/nut products

     Limited sugar

     Limited additives/preservatives

Within calorie range for each stage within the 100 days:

Day 1-20: 500 calorie HCT diet

     Day 20-50: 1,000 calories

     Day 50-100: 1,200 calories

Complete 7 gym visits a week that include:

    30 minutes intense cardio

20 minutes weight lifting (arm or leg focused)

    10 minutes ab/core focused

    10 minutes stretching

Complete 4 yoga classes a week that include at least:

    Two Hatha

    One Fusion

One hike per week

Personal Enjoyment:

Read one book every 25 days for enjoyment

At least two friend dates with two different friends weekly

Try something new every week (craft, activity, etc)

Spiritual Growth:

Complete books/growth activities:

     Day 1- 30: The Magic

Day 30-50: I Will Not Live an Unlived Life

     Day 50-100: The Happiness Project

Take at least two doses of supplements daily (full doses of all)

Take all morning medications (each thyroid daily)

Through completing each goal, I know I will grow into the healthiest person I can be.
