Productivity Music

Music can be a great way to get in the zone…if you have the right selection of songs. It’s important to make sure that the music you listen to isn’t distracting but motivating. For me, that kind of music differs depending on the activity.

If I’m studying for a test, I love listening to calming music.
Some of my favourite playlists to listen to can be found on 8tracks and Spotify.

Calming Albums:

Our Endless Numbered Days - Iron & Wine

For Now (Acoustic Sessions) - Courage My Love

Let Go - Nada Surf

American Football - American Football

Shangri La - Jake Bugg

If I’m working on an assignment or project, I like to listen to something that’s a little more up tempo; something that’ll get me pumped! Some of these might not seem that upbeat to you but it does the trick for me.

Happiness Is Not a Fish That You Can Catch - Our Lady Peace

Humanistic - Abandoned Pools

Wasting Light - Foo Fighters

Racine Carree - Stromae

Definitely Maybe - Oasis (This album always seems to help me with my writer’s block)

Greatest Hits - Queen

Fabiola Fernanda María-de-las-Victorias Antonia Adelaida Mora y Aragón, also known as as kick ass Queen Fabiola of Belgium, passed away today. I think I speak for all of us when I say: thank you for your fairy tales, your sense of humor and the magnificent hairstyle that Amy Winehouse was always jealous of. Rust in vrede.

Prayers for Peace

Lord Jesus Christ,
Son of the Father,
send now Your Spirit over the earth.
Let the Holy Spirit live in

May the Lady of all Nations,
the Blessed Mother Mary, be our Advocate!
