Actor Fred MacMurray was born August 30, 1908. Though today he may be best known from Disney fare like The Shaggy Dog and The Absent-Minded Professor, as well as his long-running sitcom My Three Sons, MacMurray was a strong dramatic actor who delivered great performances against his “nice guy” reputation. He starred as duplicitous insurance salesman Walter Neff in Double Indemnity and the cowardly Lt. Keefer in The Caine Mutiny. On radio, MacMurray appeared in recreations of his films and co-starred with Irene Dunne in the radio sitcom Bright Star.

In honor of his birthday, here is Fred MacMurray starring in the Prohibition-era drama “The Windy City Six” as heard on Suspense!

You guys got a guy to go to DisneyWorld, a girl to go to her dream college, and so much more! Now I know this isn’t really important, but I would only dream to go and see my role models killing it on stage, and now I actually have the chance to with the help of you guys! My mom said I can go to the OTR Tour tomorrow if this post gets to 500 notes. So please reblog this because I’ve seen you guys make dreams come true before –and not to mention this will be my first concert if i’m able to go! (sorry for the horrible handwriting)

Thanks,

Rida
