Hilary Duff's long-awaited return to pop music is finally here! Her new single debuts on July 24th, and is titled Chasing The Sun. The song supposedly has a more alternative, acoustic sound than her previous material. I am so anxious to hear what the beloved Lizzy McGuire star has been working on for us. Thursday cannot come fast enough!

While we’re at it, let’s take a look at one of Hilary Duff’s pop masterpieces from her 2007 album Dignity:

Discover: oOoOO

~

oOoOO (simply pronounced “oh”) is a chillwave music project that was created by Chris Dexter in 2008.

There really is no one genre oOoOO fits into. There are elements of witch house (a form of slowed down and choppy house music), shoegaze (fuzzy, distorted guitar, synths, and vocals), and post-industrial (ambiant-noise music). These are just a few of the musical groups oOoOO is regularly classified under.

I first discovered oOoOO near the end of 2011 and I’ve been hooked since. His music is so intriguing, and sounds like nothing else. There is a eerie feel to his work that makes you want to close your eyes and just listen. It’s chill-inducing.

As of now oOoOO has released 2 EPs and a handful of singles and unofficial remixes. He (and his label Tri-Angle) has stated there is indeed a full length album in the works. Exciting news!
